I just saw Janet Jackson’s vid at MJ and she seems more relaxed when she performs. More mature. I like the second song, Make me, I couldn’t understand the first song words….anyway, they didn’t “interview” Janet, and I wonder if that’s what she wanted. They talked to Alicia and Whitney, but not Janet….hm….

Lady Gaga is WAAAYYYY more multi-faceted than Madonna!! I realize that Madonna started a lot of what Gaga does and I really do not mean to take anything away from Madonna. But Lady Gaga writes her own songs brilliantly – such as SPEECHLESS – which is stunning. She plays the piano very well and can dance while singing!!! Her voice is also very good and she interprets her song with originality. The girl should not be dismissed because of her outrageous stage behavior. She is truly a talented girl who deserves to be respected by the music industry.

Sorry, but she’s mediocre talent. Can’t dance and her singing voice is annoying. She didn’t get record contracts because she’s mediocre and she’s getting attention and sales because she has a gimmick.
I really do wish she would go away quickly. I think she’s reached the point where the public has been saturated with her eccentricity and will soon be ready to wipe her off the slate.
Marie Ruffin continues to make uninformed comments. Gaga was accepted at Juliard at age 11 after playing piano since age 4. She was signed by Def Jam at age 19 even though nothing came of it. She’s been working ever since. Read much? Why do you insist on bashing talents that you know nothing about instead of just stating you don’t like them and being done with it?
Alot of people posting on her don’t know nothing about Gaga. She got her record deal because she use to write songs for recording companys. She wrote songs for the PussyCat Dolls and BritneY Spears. Than she got signed. She earned her dues. Before that she would perform anywhere, just to get exposure. Also she writes ALL of her songs, look at the writing credits online or in her cd book, its says Lady Gaga on all of them. I use to not like her too, but than I saw her vmas and amas performances and that got me hooked. So I look up more on her and realize she was amazing.
She’s the same rip off as Madonna. They, and the people they hire to come up with things to steal from real artists, bank on the cultural illiteracy of the general public to appear “avant garde” and original… (is there an emoticon of hurling in extreme disgust I may use?)
The second it started I saw it was a Marat/Sade rip off. SO original. NOT.

As for her music, it’s pretty much a rehash of early 90′s freestyle. Hardly original.
Yes, I knew about her songwriting credits. She should have continued to write songs, because honeybuns cannot sing (that well) and her writing is all the same thump-thump disco beat sounds. And don’t get me started about her dancing.
When Madonna was starting out, she was nothing but a weird-dressing, disco singing, attention seeking *****. Gaga, on the other hand, doesn’t lip-sync during her performances!
She doesn’t care that so many of you hate her. She’s laughing all the way to the bank!
Hopefully she invests her earnings well and doesn’t squander it in wig shopping sprees.

I’m surprised at the not-so positive comments on Ms Gaga. I’m not her fan, but genuinely appreciate her talent. She does act weird, and sometimes speak awkwardly. But you cannot deny her talent. Ya ya, say that she is a rip off of Madonna. But the fact that there hasn’t been a successful rip off for the last 20 years proves something.
PS: I guess you could say Ms Spears was a successful one. But she didn’t start out doing dance.
