Florida police released the Tiger Woods 911 tapes. The phone call was made by a neighbor.

A statement by Tiger Woods says: “The situation is my fault.” And he canceled the third police interview.

STATEMENT:

“As you all know, I had a single-car accident earlier this week, and sustained some injuries. I have some cuts, bruising and right now I’m pretty sore.

This situation is my fault, and it’s obviously embarrassing to my family and me. I’m human and I’m not perfect. I will certainly make sure this doesn’t happen again.

This is a private matter and I want to keep it that way. Although I understand there is curiosity, the many false, unfounded and malicious rumors that are currently circulating about my family and me are irresponsible.

The only person responsible for the accident is me. My wife, Elin, acted courageously when she saw I was hurt and in trouble. She was the first person to help me. Any other assertion is absolutely false.

This incident has been stressful and very difficult for Elin, our family and me. I appreciate all the concern and well wishes that we have received. But, I would also ask for some understanding that my family and I deserve some privacy no matter how intrusive some people can be.”

I don’t think he’s important enough for us to butt into his private life and his affairs. However, TMZ is usually on the money….and there probably was a heated discussion about “the other woman” and he ran out of the house to get away. Let it be at that.

People sound so stupid on 911 calls! Here’s how it should have played out: “He hit a tree.” “Was he in a vehicle?” “No, he just walked up to the tree and punched it.” LOL

Reading other message boards — it seems that this is now an insurance matter. Does the insurance company pay? Does Tiger junk the car and buy a new one? It’s not a domestic issue, it’s not anything more than who killed the light pole?

I’m not one to suspect or create rumors, but these rumors already exist. Wanda pretty much said – exactly how I feel – last night on her show… For one… How in the world did Tiger have cuts on his face when only the TRUNK window of his HUGE escalade was broken? There was no broken window – other than the TRUNK. Why would she smash the back window to pull him from the wreck? Come to think of it… How was she able to smash the rear window with a golf club, which was likely in the trunk of the truck. Did she get the club from the car – to then BREAK the back window? If that’s NOT how it happened, then why did she walk out the house with a golf club, in the first place? Is that normal for her? No matter what – it doesn’t matter. As long as Tiger is ok – that’s all that matters. I was once in a VIOLENT relationship. I’m glad I had the strength to FINALLY move on – when I did.

When someone is a celebrity, the only “private family incidents” are the ones that happen behind closed doors with the curtains drawn. This happened in public, people saw it, police were called…there’s nothing private about it.

Legally, in FL,, he doesn’t have to talk to the police on this matter. In other states, that differs when there is property damage , albeit only a fire hydrant.

Drawing comparisons here, If this had happened in “Elmwood Trailer Court”–the parties involved would probably be handled much differently. The ticket(s) would have been issued on the spot. The little wife would have been booked on domestic abuse charges and a court appearance already been scheduled. She would probably spend the night in county lock-up, while hubby hustles bail money. Then mandated anger management classes. The party would have to turn the car in for an insurance claim, due to finances. The insurance company would probably disavow. Yada, Yada, Yada.

Domestic abuse is still domestic abuse. Trailer or mansion.

Last year I sat on a grand jury. A young fella was indicted on a charge involving the use of a “lethal weapon” — his steel toed boot.

If Elin, indeed, did weld a golf club, I see this as a serious case of domestic abuse. However, if proven, somehow, that Tiger is a marital cheat, he will be more vilified than an adrenalin fueled wife coming at him swinging a golf club.

She should have grabbed a lawyer, not a golf club. Instead, now the “other woman” retained Gloria and not Elin. Too bad. Missed opportunity.
