Here’s Danyl Johnson’s video dairy this week on The X Factor.

They should really have stuff like this on American Idol. I think this is what Simon Cowell wanted with the “behind the scenes” stuff they promised last season which never materialized.

I love the possibilities of being able to campaign for yourself directly week after week, but we know how control-freaks some of those executives on Idol are. Let’s just hope The X Factor U.S. version happens soon. I really like some of the mechanics on that show. The voting all night until 30 minutes into the results show is pretty wild.

Oh and yeah, I think Danyl shaves his chest. How very metrosexual.

Did you ever view Jedward’s video diaries? They were really entertaining.

Notice that Danyl mentioned it costs the Brits 35 cents a call to vote for these shows. What a difference it would make if people here had to pay to vote for AI!

DonMI: To my understanding the majority of the AI voters are texters and that cost money. I believe calling the 1-800 # benefits AI production costs, the show is paid Xc per call.

I’m sure Rickey has more info.

One thing about Danyl, he has personality.

lol so he is holding back on his performances ,….XD he is funny i actually like him very much but i so wonder if a lot of the things he says are true like he is bisexual i don’t he seems pretty straight to me but my gaydar i quite broken now !!!!

There’s an story at the Times in UK about his first girlfriend stating that he left her for a man. This is hilarious. He’s trying to pass off as a bisexual when he’s straight up gay. Another Adam Lambert in the making?
If he’s gay he should come out and say it and stop trying to hide behind bisexuality.

Marie: I’d question that most people vote by text since only AT&T customers can text in votes, and they only have about 27% of the mobile market share. In 2006 it was estimated that about 12% of the votes were texted in, but I’m sure that number has increased since then.

Even so, most texters probably have plans that include unlimited texting or something like 200 texts for $5.00 a month. It’s not the same as having to pay for each phone call (local or long-distance) like many other countries do.

I just think it would make a huge difference in how many times each individual would vote each week if they had to pay for the calls. How many people would vote 100 or more times per show if it cost them almost $50.00 to do so?
