Billboard is projecting that Susan Boyle will have the biggest album release for 2009. One of Billboard’s sources say that she could sell at least 700,000 copies, and projections “start” at the 550,000 mark. Unbelievable.

QVC is reporting that 81,000 units of Boyle’s album were on pre-order there, while Amazon.com U.S. pre-orders are estimated at 80,000 units.

I like this woman. All she does is sing to win the sales . She doesn’t have to grab crotch, kiss a same sex, flip the finger, stimulated oral sex, sell album for 99 cents….if she did , she would sell million and million of copies …hahhaa

It was a smart move to pitch her album on QVC. LOL

A lot of the people that watch that show are nutty shop-a-holics that probably won’t even listen to the album. They just buy stuff and shove it into a spare room in the house. Sad but true.

A lot of QVC are “house” wives, older women, who are deep down romantics and like the Sinatras and Tony Bennetts of the world. I hope she succeeds in album sales, the same as Michael Buble succeeds because we need to get back to good music, good lyrics, good arrangements, etc.

Singers — real singers — never go out of style.

However, on the flip side and this is IMO, she needs a total face makeover.

If she wants to do a “total face makeover,” fine. We all deserve the right to make ourselves as pretty as we want. If she’s happy with herself (and I think she’s lovely) what does she need a makeover for?

I am very very happy for her. I don’t understand why some people try to analyse it. For whatever reasons she is getting what she gets, it’s all good. She is a classy, lovely lady who deserves it not less than anyone else in the business. Let her have her time.

Why diminish QVC? To do a Boyle putdown? Wow. My entire office, my mother, her friends and my neighbors all use it. Their moniker is true you do get good enough quality and it’s super convenient. Is it the hippest? No. But it is not just for shop a holics. Especially women who are large plus size like some of my coworkers.

hellokitty that’s the difference between a liberal and a conservative right there. no, i chose not to live in a nanny society and expect everyone to be responsible for their actions.

Further, qvc attempts to say that in so many words and always has.

Or should the entrepreneurial spirit just be crushed in case there are [some} people who shop too much. Ridiculous. qvc feeds an enormous amount of revenue to small business and start ups too. Guess what else I even have bought powerw washers, Select comfort bed, bose stereo, computer lawn mowers xmas trees and other annoying products instead of going out for them, and dragging them home.

This is amazing. Her numbers are not based on fans buying multiple copies, as is the case with ALL Idol contestants and their debut albums.
