I’m not an expert, but this sounded horribly off-key to me at times. “Purple Rain” was excellent a couple of weeks ago.

I thought he sounded fantastic… I cant believe he gets better n better every week… I thought this song choice was going to be so lame n corny… But i reaLly think he
made it sound good… I think cheryl’s ear piece is broken…

I think Cheryl is the only judge with ears. He was so off-key in the beginning it was painful to listen to.

Off key starting out. He needs vocal lessons, could be tired after this grueling show….but he could be a winner, a really big star. Simon has him signed already.
He just needs to really feel the song and get to know the songs.

That’s one of my fave songs.

Simon has gained weight.

Another slow ballad from him that he murdered. But not as off-key as some other performances. Strangely, he is getting worse as the competition goes further.

when you listen to a cd of a person you really like, do you do you ask yourself this or say thin in your head? — “oh, that was soooo on key! that was fantastic!” or do you sing with the song? i listen to a cd of a person i really like because i like the song and i sing along with it and i feel it. at the end of the day, these singers are going to sit down and take stock of their technical skills. the great ones will improve, and become even greater. the technical singers but really bland ones, they just slip away and get buried neath one forgettable and bland performance after another. danyl isn’t one of them. and i’m goin g to buy his cd. listen to it. feel it. sing along with it. and not tell myself god what a fantastically on key singer he is.

Cheryl nailed it. He was off-key, he was also boring and massacred one of my all time favorite songs.

He needs to be shown the door in this competition. Unfortunately, better folks will go home before him.
