Here’s Stefani Germanotta before she became Lady GaGa at the annual New York University talent show where she placed third four years ago.

She sang: “Captivated” and “Electric Kiss”.

“Norah Jones! Look out!” Ummm, no.

It’s actually nice to see how Lady GaGa started. Will she beat Adam Lambert for the #1 spot in the charts next week? Adam Lambert’s popularity is on an all time high now, and with his AMA performance this Sunday it will only go higher.

Really Good. I like her this way as well. A little jazzy. She should do a Beyonce/Sasha Fierce Album. I Am Stefani Germanotta.

She comes across as a human being.

and I think she’ll easily top Adam Lambert. Rihanna is also releasing her first album since the Chris Brown incident, and her track is doing way than FYE. Those two are established in the industry and have strong fan bases and general appeal.

btw, as a non AI fan (then) I barely noticed “Miss Independent” as being Kelly Clarkson’s song. It wasn’t until “Since U Been Gone” (from her second album) that I noticed her as someone I liked. I know it’s different now, but I just can’t imagine too many non-AI fans caring about Adam’s two singles enough for him to chart ahead of those others…
