Billboard: Kris Allen May Sell 90,000 Copies

Apparently, since the uber-fans do not believe anything I write here even as MJ’s Big Blog and other websites are posting THE SAME THING, I need to drop a big name as a “source”. So how about Billboard.com — the actual chart people, who obviously are taking the same data from the same place as we all did yesterday.

Billboard reports that John Mayer is on track to debut at #1 with “Battle Studies” which could sell 275,000 to 300,000. Casting Crowns with “Until the Whole World Nears” could sell 175,000 copies. 50 Cent and Norah Jones are vying for #3 with their estimates at 150,000 copies.

Justin Bieber could sell 100,000 copies and “while “American Idol” winner Kris Allen may see his debut effort move approximately 90,000 copies.” (direct quote from Billboard)

Kris Allen’s album is at #11 on the iTunes Top Album chart today.

Thats right, Kris Allen is climbing on the chart. You people are prompt to judge. On my daily commute to work, I listen to 102.7 Ryan Seacrest. All this time, I have not heard Kris Allen song on his station, but the week Kris Allen released his CD, Ryan Seacrest instead played Adam Lambert on his station today. WTF is going on with that guy! He cant even give credit to Kris Allen when is due. No longer a fan of Ryan Seacrest.

He said himself its a bad time to release a CD with all the other ones coming out around the same time.

I was thinking the same thing today…Ryan played Kanye’s version of heartless which IMo isn’t all that great (great song, bad version) puhleeze, wtf ryan, are you too good for the hand that feeds you??

Alright! Kris has recently stated he likes to be understated and it works for well.

In the end Kris will survive more so then other contestants.

He may not come with a lot of thunder. But he is steady like sunshine on a fall day, or on a rainy day.

I for one believe in him. After all he won Idol without any airtime. He was the filler who won!

I trust that in the long run he will be steady.

I absolutely love the album. If you are a Kris fan please buy it in the first week so he isn’t discouraged by headlines and negativity.

I also want to ad that I was extremely frustrated that myspace put Adam’s album on his main page the day Kris released his.

They are both nominated for break through artists at the People choice awards and it’s seem that Kris never gets his day. It’s always Kradam.

It should be Kris and Adam.

Yeah it is frustrating at times the way Kris always seems to be put on the back burner. That Ryan Seacreast, used to like him but not anymore, mr creepsville.

It’s not what you write that we don’t believe it’s the way you word it. You always came across as a Kris supporter during the show and tour, and now for some reason you can’t seem to say a positive thing about the guy. There are ways to report factual information without sounding rude and condescending.

Think about it this way. 90K is a good effort, considering the amount of press (well, not enough) that Kris had. And I really think that he does not care anyway. He’s just happy making music and that there are people who enjoy it.

At work today I sold only one Kris Allen album. But I rung up several 50 cent, John Mayer, and Norah Jones album in the last two hours. Justin Bieber also sold well this week.
