Don’t know if people in the USA know Robbie Williams, but Olly has reminded me of him from the start. He has the same “swagger” Robbie has.
He really is a great entertainer.
I think he is turning into the favorite.

I’d be willing to bet that less than 10% of the people in the US know who Robbie is. He’s never really been able to break into the US market like so many other huge stars in the UK and the rest of Europe. Even Take That is virtually unknown here (although I’ve had one of their CDs for something like 15 years).

Consider Cliff Richard: 14 #1 hits, 70 top 10 hits, and 125 top 40 hits in the UK, and he never had a hit in the US.

i think olly is great… as far as cliff richard goes.. he did have some us hits with devil woman, and we dont talk anymore and a duet with olivia newton john too… hmm… olly should be one of the favorites hes been great the whole time..

Olly Murs – “Don’t Stop Me Now” – What a mess. Is that dancing? Vocal was ok. Hair is better this week. Not his best performance. He still strikes me as a theme park performer. 3/5

I stand corrected. After almost 20 years and dozens of hits in the UK, Cliff Richard had a couple of songs make it into the US top 10. I didn’t realize they did that well. Still, he’s been a huge star overseas, and no one I know has ever heard of him.

he reminds me more of gary barlow than robbie. he does not have robbie’s swagger, seems like he’s trying really hard to look cool. and vocally, it was karaoke.
