(Here’s Noelle’s recap of tonight’s episode of V “There Is No Normal Anymore”)

The episode kicks off right where we left it last week, with Erica and Jack sitting wordlessly outside after fighting for their lives against the V’s. They decide the best plan of action is to finish what the others started and continue trying to build a resistance group and track down the ones who got away. It’s a tricky situation when you don’t know who you can trust. Anyone could be a Visitor and anyone could betray you at any moment. The Visitors have been here for years and they’re very good at disguising themselves. You would think an alien lizard would be easily distinguished but apparently not.

The V’s intention this week is to establish diplomatic ties with countries around the world. They hope to obtain visa’s and be able to move freely from one country to another. Even aliens want to travel and see the world! Although he was easily manipulated last time, Chad proves to be a problem this time. Ana refused to let him ask any negative questions during their interview and he makes up for it by holding a debate about whether or not to trust the Visitors. Eek, our Michael J Fox impersonator is treading on dangerous waters with those interview skills. He must be really brave because the last thing that I would do is piss off an alien race.

So far on the V’s good side is Tyler. Only wanting to get to know Lisa better i’m sure, Tyler has been hiding being a peace ambassador for the Visitors from his mom. I’m finding it really hard to like his character when he makes such idiotic decisions. Still wearing his peace vest, Tyler punches the crap out of a protester and then pretty much gets himself kicked out of the ambassador program. He pisses of Lisa in the process who obviously doesn’t want to be with someone who doesn’t..promote peace. Shame on you Tyler. Shame on you.

But you know, the V’s aren’t so innocent themselves. We see them use what I assume was a form of mind torture on a human they caught from the resistance meeting. They’re torturing him for names of others who attended or might know something about their true intentions. I would have cracked so easily if I had a hundred snakes on my chest. Ryan goes to an old buddy of his Angelo, another V traitor, for help with his arm. He’s another one looking for information only this time, he wants to know if anyone might still be around from their old resistance group from years ago. Angelo wants nothing to do with it and warns Ryan to “head for the hills” and save his girlfriend and leave her. She does seem like the perfect bait if he ever were to get caught. :(

Another person in dangerous territory is Erica. She’s being questioned about Dale’s disappearance. She puts on a pretty good act considering she can’t say she killed a lizard man with a metal pipe. Unfortunately, her boss finds some incriminating evidence against her and she needs to prove that Dale was a traitor to the FBI to save herself. Shouldn’t be too hard considering he WAS a traitor. She gives them the evidence she has and saves her butt. Everyone’s full of information today as Jack hands some over to the FBI about the Visitors to try and prevent the government from creating diplomatic relationships with the V’s. Erica reminds him that that could end up blowing right back up in their faces because the V’s are all around and you Can’t. Trust. Anyone. The episode ends with a closeup of Dale’s body as his eye opens. What?? Can’t these guys die?

I didn’t like this episode as much as last week’s. I kinda felt that not much happened and it moved at a slower pace. Hopefully this episode serves as a set up episode for big things to come next week.
