I was totally thinking Wiggles watching this. Sort of a let down actually. They’ve been co-opted into the story arc are and just a ratings ploy. They were delightfully delusional at first but I think they and the show just jumped the shark. It’s like Simon learned from Sanjaya, repeated the shtick, but this clearly is minus the real subversion that happened on AI. Contained and marketed.

IIRC, Louis is the mentor for Jedward, and it was a great pick of song that could keep them on one more week. They should get some sort of show out of this, they are natural comedic performers.

They could totally get a kids show, and I think that’s where it’s ultimately being played. Boost the ratings and then market them. Only if they strike when the iron is hot though. The X Factor people don’t tour, do they? That’s what sets back the AI people. It’s clear that they are just reality TV show cast and characters and the main goal is ratings. Jedward is providing that right now, but this week was just too hyped and too much of the same. They didn’t even slime Simon which was rumored. They would have been far more shocking doing a sit down angsty emo acoustic version of Ghostbusters
