Wow. This has got to be the most unfair Bottom 4 ever.

Nigel Lythgoe said he will ask Fox to let Brandon Dumlao participate next year (fingers crossed).

LOL okay who really thought Russell, the most pimped out male contestant of the season thus far, would be going home? especially after all of that praise they gave him. They just did that to create drama.
Poor Brandon though, to be brought back for a day and a half only to be sent back home again. *cross fingers* for letting him back next season.
Ariana well she got zero airtime before the top 20 so I’m not surprised.

Brandon was such a sport to return and learn that routine on such short notice. They better let him come back next season. He earned it tonight!

I just have a gut feeling Ariana will be back next week, making this week essentially a wash.

Given how enormous that cast on Noelle was, I would be shocked if she could somehow continue in the competition.

So we’ll lose a guy who we didn’t really know anyways and a girl who we knew, but probably had few fans given she never danced with her partner yet.

I kind of hope more dancers just throw themselves out of the competition, because the less the judges have to decide, the better. Their decisions can be CRAZY (really? RUSSELL?!).

Even the more grating personalities proved their dance abilities tonight and the underdogs showed their presence. It’ll be hard to let anyone go, but I guess I feel this way every season. The pack is definitely tighter than usual.

Hoping my favorite underdogs like Peter, Pauline, and Ellenore stay safe at least to Top 16. Could do without over-rated Channing, Mollee, Phillip, or Ashleigh.

Yes, tonight’s elim was pretty unfair. And Russell in the bottom was complete BS. I think they only did that to let people see his solo.. which was amazing fyi.
I hope Brandon gets to come back next season, along with Billy and that girl if she can’t continue on.

nigel needs to get his eyes checked. russell in the bottom was total bs and everyone knows it. poor brandon. the producers used him. it’s so unfair.

why does that other girl get to stay for sitting on her butt. she didn’t even dance tonight.

see I told you guys. Nigel hates minorities. I was right that Pauline and Brandon will be right there in the bottom. I cant believe they used Brandon to fill a hole and get rid of him twice as fast as he arrived. Trust me, they wont put him back next season. They said that many times with other auditioners but they never did.

Dont get me started with that girl who broke her knee and got a free pass to the top 18. Stupid judges. I hope they rot in hell.

yeah that bottom 4 was totaly bs. the moment they said russell’s name, we all knew brandon was screwed. if they’re gonna give noelle a free pass, they should’ve given the same respect to brandon.

That did really throw me for a loop when they chose Russell for the bottom four. They didn’t really have anything terrible to say about him after he danced. It has to be an attempt at drama. Either that or they want to make sure when the viewers get to vote that they don’t take Russell for granted. Surely if the viewers had voted tonight, he wouldn’t have been anywhere near the bottom. Brandon was such a trooper, I feel bad for him. But I sure wish Billy had been able to dance. I hope he recovers quickly from whatever is wrong.

I felt they were setting Russell up when they were so gushy with him then Nigel gave the “keep doing what you’re doing and good luck” kiss off.

Jolog, oh do not even bring any kind of Nigel is racist BS in to this. That could not be further from the truth.

Although I don’t agree with Russell being in the bottom, the other 3 deserved to be there b/c they didn’t do all that well.

Nigel is Definitely slimy, and clearly has an agenda when he pimps certain contestants and also when he rips unfairly into others

I wouldn’t call him a racist, he just cares about ratings. Brandon was definitely sand bagged from the get go by Nigel, though.

ANY couple that gets a Slow, “Smooth Waltz”, on the First show is almost always guaranteed to be on the bottom. Brandon was cannon fodder for Nigel and co. this week, albeit, the shortest Cannon Fodder in SYTYCD History. Unbelievable.

Brandon was set up to fail in that dance-off. They put Russell in the bottom 4 just to make sure that there was no way Brandon could deliver a better solo. Russell was never in any danger. No way in hell the judges actually thought he deserved to be there.

And yeah, having Brandon go up against Russell was almost comical to me. Were they seriously putting this kid … who they didn’t want in the first place vs. One of Their most pimped out, exciting, and talented male contestants??? Nigel wanted him out … and put him up against Russell to ensure it.

Instead of Russell, Either of the Male Tappers could have been up there (Not impressed with either of their performances tonight in the slightest) or even that kid, Nathan. Sorry, his disco with Mollie was weak sauce for me.

First time I ever saw a Contestant as praised and popular as Russell get CHOSEN BY THE JUDGES to Dance for their life in the FIRST week.

And LOL @ Nigel saying “He would talk to FOX and see if he could get them to change “their” rule about him competing for next season”

Nigel is the executive producer of the freakin show, lol. He Makes those decisions.. not FOX. Brandon won’t be on next season, I’ll guarantee it.

Shana no clearly he is not the most pimped out contestant cause they hardly said anything nice to him out all. They clearly love these contemp. boys and these damn tappers so they don’t want Russell to win. Seriously they let alot guys slide tonight including Jakob but I thought they didn’t give enough credit to Russell. Also poor Brandon to let him come back and then get eliminated the first night what the hell y’all bring him back at all for. It’s too early for all these damn mind games Nigel! lol

Nobody else thinks that Ariadna was awesome last night? Why was elimitated? I really think we have lost all with these new rules. I thing it was more fare last year. Also, I think current contestants (not all but many) are worst than edition 5 ones. I dont really like tap ones and molle and her best friend for example. In fack I just like Jacob, Nathan, Russell, Ariadna (eliminated) and Billy (gone, he was my favorite ). I dont think they can dance.
Just my personal opinion.

Russell had an advantage dancing with Melanie. Yes,the partnership wasn’t tested, but he was dancing with the co-choreographer. During the hold sections she could have helped if he were to take a wrong step or guided him in general. I don’t think the piece would have looked as good with Noelle. Having someone there that knows the dance backwards and forwards (because she helped create it), would be a confidence booster. All of that being said, I believe that if Noelle had danced, Russell still would have been good and not have been in that bottom four.

This made me so mad. To put Russell in the Bottom 4 was RIDICULOUS! And I felt bad for Ariana. Her dance was so creative, and I really enjoyed it. But, oh well. I honestly thought her partner was WAYYY worse than her.

Anyway… GO RUSSELL!!! GO BIANCA!!! GO ASHLEIGH!!! GO ELLENORE!!!

This show and the producers/judges are just making a fool out of us and play with those innocent dancers’ emotions.

It is really unfair for them to bring somebody in at a spur of the moment, get him all excited, and then kick him out faster than lightning, especially when you know there are a couple of male dancers who sucked and yet they didn’t even bother putting in the bottom. Seriously, those 2 male tappers? They should be the one on the bottom 2. Russel was just there in the bottom for drama and assurance. It’s obvious that they want to lick his a$$ and whoever is with him in the bottom will be the one to get the boot. It’s sooooo given. Brandon did a decent job and I don’t get Nigel’s comment at all. He already made up his mind even before Pauline and Brandon performed. Brandon is the easiest target because they have not invested so much on him unlike the original top 20. If that was the case then, they should just not ask him to come back and Pauline should have danced with the choreographer. I think that’s the most fair action they have taken considering they let Noelle sitting pretty there and get the free pass.

@Mcgee, yeah I’ll guarantee it as well that you wont even see Brandon next season. Or they will let him audition but in the first week of Vegas, he’ll get cut. I know how these greedy producers work. They will surely go to hell for manipulating everything.

remember Natalie (Katie’s friend)? remember how they wanted to come back but when she did, they cut her off. even Evan’s brother, he almost made it to top 20 last season, and when he came back, he didn’t make it to the top 38. That doesn’t really make any sense to me. For me, if you made it to top 38 or top 20, you need not do all those auditions anymore. They should get a free pass to top 38 or top 20 where they left off.
