Started shaky but Blake is awesomeness. This is a rather dull night and I think Blake is the best of the guys so far.
Before anyone ask, the song is ‘All Mixed Up’ by 311.

Blake is one the most original artists to turn up on this show yet. I really think he’s got potential in many areas (acting, singing, media in general.)
Love this guy, and one of the few I anticipate each week.

..is there a reason to vote for anyone else.
No, really?
If so, then I missed something.
I only wish Blake wasn’t on first…so his performance could have awoken me from nodding off fromm boredom with the others.
This is it America?
This is the best we’ve got?
Go Blake! I do enjoy your performances each and every time…top 3, my prediction.
I think he’s fun. Song choice didn’t do much for me this time, but he’s one of the three guys I still like.

Hate the goofy “Something About Mary” hairstyle. But I like watching the guy. Very entertaining.

I love him….but I would like to hear him show off his voice more like he did the first week. But either way, he’s still completely entertaining and he has my vote!

I can’t get over how capital B B-o-r-i-n-g this season is. DealMe, no, there is no reason to vote for anyone but Blake. He’s definitely interesting and talented … not that I’d ever actually listen to a beat-box-laden cd in real life.

I’m with you Laff and DealMe. Blake is great and I love all of his performance’s. He’s so cool, unique, and very talented. He is my favorite.

OMG, 311?! I LOVE this man. It takes cajones to do the alternative thing on American Idol. I could totally see him doing something like Sublime or Gorillaz. That would be awesome… finally bring some taste to the show.
Maybe variety is a better word. I know, I know, it’s a family show. But if Sundance can sing a song about suicide, Blake should be able to say “ass.”
But I love contestants like contestants like Blake, Bo, Constantine, and maybe Chris. They don’t come around that often, but they really change the dynamics of the show and leave a lasting impression for seasons to come.

I don’t know why I like this guy but I do. I hope he makes it to the top 12.

Certainly has the most “charismer” as Simon would say. None of the other guys light up the stage like he does.

He definitely isn’t the best vocalist even among this questionable group of guys. But although he left me cold in the earlier weeks, I’ve liked him in the last two weeks. For me he won the night hands down with an entertaining performance of a song I am not familiar with.
I LOVED the song choice actually. His style is perfect for a high energy reggae inspired kind of number. Boys night would be extremely boring without a little of that crazy Blakester.
His and Sundance’s spots are the only ones I was the least bit interested in rewinding and running back.

i dont think this was his best performance, but his presence on the stage made up for it. I can TOTALLY see myself buying his album.

Do any of these performances compel you to WANT to vote?
No way.
Would you pay money to see these guys?
No Way.
Sad!

Kookoo: I might actually pay a few bucks to see Blake in concert, especially if I was 16 years old. But no, I haven’t been too motivated to vote for any of the guys. I have voted for one of the ladies, but only because I like her and thought she was in trouble. The few guys I’d really like to see move on haven’t looked to be in any sort of danger of elimination. And the litmus test for me is do I want to save the mp3s? So far none compel me to go to the trouble.

It amazed me that Randy, Paula, and Simon are the so-called experts, and they do not know a very popular mainstream 311 song.
I thought that was funny.
Blake was the best of the night.

Blake is an entertainer. That is what sets him above the others, however, if you just listen to the mps and not watch the videos you will hear that he is not the guy with the best vocals.
And he will have to start singing the songs catagories they pick for him, not just his hip hop stuff. Then we will see how he does. I think he might be able to pull it off. Good luck Blake.
