to Megan, I sort of feel the same way. The middle part reminds me of Backstreet Boys’ “All I Have to Give.” But the singing is much much much better.

OMG RIcKEY!!! YOu ARE The BESTTTEst!!!! I totally missed the debut on Ryans radio station yesterday, but did get to hear his interview, i tried all day to get to hear the whole thing and I EVEN heard about a copy that his friends have but it was taken off the internet pretty quickly! I’m sooo happy that they gave it to you to show off here! I absolutely LOVE LOVE IT and i just LOVE LOVE Elliott! There will NEVER be another like him EVER! I totally believe that! I can’t wait to gets me my CD from Amazon…and HOPE they send it early for me! WOOHOO…what a present it will BE! I’m just lovin this song…and how great and refreshing to hear a variety to E’s voice too! i don’t think he sounds like a boys band either….It’s a little rappy if you will for his voice but it’s awesome and different! Mmmmm, really good. It goes great with the earlier released uptempo (maybe even dancable tune) “Movin’ On”.

This song reminds me more of contemporary R&B that you would hear from an R Kelly…with its almost talk/sing delivery at the beginning.

Looks like Elliott is going to have songs from several popular genres…great way to go

Amazon.Com…I don’t care how it gets here…but just get my “E” CD here quick as you can!

Yes, I agree that there’s a resemblance between this song and “All I have to Give” and I would say even “We Belong Together” and any number of R Kelly hip-hop ballads.

But I think it was very shrewd of them to go ahead and bet that a record aimed straight at top 40 might be a big upside surprise — instead of doing something that was going to be very adult-oriented and aiming for a niche that no one knows for sure even exists.

This is every bit as good as “Sorry 2004,” and that song sold a lot of albums for Ruben.

I love this song! I like the fact that it’s sooo different from “Movin On”, in a good way of course cos I love that song too. Eeek! I can’t wait for his CD! And his voice is just AMAZING. As always..

Rickey, I love the song. Already pre-ordered from Amazon, but Target is offering exclusive 2 bonus tracks. Kinda disappointed that I didn’t know about that before I preordered. I’ll probably pick up another from Target. Love, Love, Love Elliott and wish him nothing but success.

elliott’s great, but i’m surprised that his singles are so contemporary r&b generic-y sounding. i expected a more soulfull old school sound from him. and i hate that fast singing crap in the backs.

There is a snippet of the video for “Wait for you” at http://ryan.kiisfm.com/main.html and he is smokin’ hot! The sound is much better too. He also has a better sound version up on his MySpace.
Oh I think it will be a winner for sure. Our little Elliott is all growed up now and looking hot, hot, hot! And still sings like an angel.

Elliott doesn’t even need music!! His voice is so rich and warm that is all I need to hear..Elliott’s voice carries the song!! Way to go Elliott!! Nothing generic or boy band about Elliott. He can sing anything and do it past all the rest. WOW, this song is beautiful!! His vocals alone are so soul filled , I can’t get enough!! Hurry up March 20th!!!

If you all like this song (I prefer “Movin On” or “You Are the One”), wait till you hear “Trainwreck”.
He is absolutely brilliant on it–it’s got a nice old-school r&b vibe to it..
