Woohoo! Good news direct from Kris Allen on Twitter:

- Just finished singing 2 songs for the record. They sound great! So much work to still be done in the next couple weeks.

I’m happy that Kris is in “tweet about how awesome my music is” mode now. Doesn’t change the fact that one month and a week before the album is released he is still in the writing stage, but at least he is excited about songs he just recorded — which is enough for the fans.

David Archuleta was also recording non-stop weeks before his album was released and he was still able to sell 700,000+ copies.

C’mon 19E, don’t disappoint us now. Kris Allen is a great American Idol winner and you guys need to pull out all the stops for him.
