it’s a bit theatrical and OTT. She definitely has talent. I wish she picked a different song.

I think she did real good tonight. I just hope that the guys can do better next week so we can have a a true battle of the sexes competition, like we did the previous two years.

GOD i hate it when people don’t mean what they sing.. this song is such a sad song and she was SMILING throughout the whole thing like she was singing about rainbows and butterflies. arg!!! so annoying.

i think she didn’t have the power to sing this song to its full extent.. a little sparce on the force department…

I love this song and I always sing it at videoke bars and to be honest.. I’m a little let down… LOL

I didn’t think her voice was powerful enough to carry that off. I do like the sweet quality of her voice, I just wish she’d chosen a better song. She also had a really tough time getting the last word of a verse out before starting the next verse . . . a sign that she could use more work on her breathing technique.

Haley was the only one that sounded a little different..and they blast her for it…”siing your age” blah..Idol 6 is not impressing me.

No country, no rock, nothing but R&B with a pop twist for nearly all of the 24.

My favorite idol cliches:

1. did a hard song >>> too risky
2. did a safe song >>> need to take a risk
3. did something outside your genre >>> stay in your area
4. did something inside your genre >>> get outside the box
5. do a ballad poorly >>> you need to do a faster song
6. do a fast song poorly >>> slow it down next time

I’d love to seem them just rate the performance and stop the cliches.

Is American Idol nearing the end of its run?

Overall, Idol 6 is setting up to be very dissapointing.

I absolutely HATED her performance. All I could think of while she was singing was how it all looked and sounded like she should’ve been performing it at a Miss USA competition.
It was just average… nothing special or standout about it at all.

As for her voice…Well yeah, but she’s really pretty! I wish this show was more of a singing competition and less of a beauty contest.

Simon and Paula were right. 3 or 4 are in a different league than the rest. This young lady is definitely J.V.
