Tough call. You could focus in on the feet to see if she does have some sort of tights on. I’d go with the tights, because there would have been a flash of something distinctively vajayjay looking. That’s to much open area to miss it..

I watched this on my tv last night in HD and I believe she has what dancers call “dance trunks” or “dance thongs” on. These are usually flesh toned and worn under dance costumes/outfits. In the frame just after your last picture, if you look towards the top of her waist where her dress comes up, you see a faint line from the elastic.

This particular shot is ambiguous, but I agree with awau. The earlier shot where you can clearly see her wearing skin-toned shorts is unequivocal. I’m inclined to think she didn’t take them off just so she could flash the judges.
As for the elastic band not being visible on one thigh… Maybe it rode up.

Those aren’t shorts. We see light in the crotch area, and the shadow of the upper leg falling on the lower leg, closer to the viewer. That is not a seam of any kind.

In fact there are no hints of fabric, seems, stretched fabric, fabric folds, anywhere. However, we see, in all its anatomically obvious glory, a vajayjay.

No skin colored tights. Sorry. Except in your imagination, if you find reality too disturbing.

First of all I want to give hope to the young woman who has had a myriad of people on the net talking about her. Hang in there 22036 and don’t let the nasty minds of a few adolescent idiots, spoil your adventure! U GO GIRL! OK, on to the question at hand. OBVIOUSLY an aspiring professional dancer is not going to parade her wares like that on stage… what are you fools thinking! If you take a closer look at the video, as she initially hits the ground, you can clearly see the straps/top of her body colored uni-tard on her back above her dress! Secondly, the video director is at fault, because the video is a snippet that was edited in and it ends as she is getting up. The director could have cut the piece while she was still on the floor… but no, he waited until she started to get up to give the audience a crotch shot. Believe me, this didn’t slip past the Video Director. Thirdly, what… do you think that three judges sitting just feet away would not notice something like this during her audition! They see crap that you and I have to back the TiVo up several times to understand what they were talking about. And, and, unless female anatomy has changed in the past 48 hours, what are supposedly her feminine parts in the video, all appear lower and way off to the side of where I know they actually are on a woman. And lastly, what about the choreography session…was it missed there also? NO, no, no, sadly this is an unfortunate happenstance for a beautiful young woman who I sincerely hope is able to rise above ALL of this to her great benefit.

Further musings:

Video is a series of static images strung together to make motion. The snippet is short, maybe 3 seconds… but that 3 seconds represents dozens and dozens of individual frames. The video editor is probably using a Mac and Final Cut Pro software. When you put a show together you select some point along the video string as the beginning of your video, this is the insertion point. Then you select the exit point. Now here is the key. ALL the static images between those two points are displayed on your screen, sort of like in a checker board grid. If you want a different beginning point, you just click your mouse on that image. There is absolutely no way for an editor or director to miss the crotch shot, because dozens and dozens of the shot are displayed on your computer screen as you decide where to stop and start your edit!

If you notice, the video montage jumps from Lil’ C speaking to an unknown person, (he could be talking to any contestant) straight to contestant 22036 with her head thrown back. Where is her face? The video editor didn’t show her face, he cut in after her face was back. The video snippet continued and didn’t stop until she starts to get up… giving the TV audience a flash. Of all the 152 contestants going to Vegas, how come this contestant is singled out to show her reaction? The answer is OBVIOUS. They video everyone you know. They literally have hours of video film to whittle down to 40 minutes of a 1 hour long TV show (60 minutes minus commercials). Prime time is expensive and EVERY second of TV time is accounted for – nothing just slips in.

Most notably, as a contestant she doesn’t have any control of what is shown on TV, on stage yes, but not on TV. And because she signed a video release to be on the show, she can’t sue the company for defamation of her character.
