Adam Lambert Debut’s CD is now at #4 on the Amazon.com sales chart. The untitled, un-imaged album went on pre-order today.

So is the demand real? Is it all hype? Is Rickey playing up the album with endless lies and gossip to raise expectations and sabotage the CD?

I am so sick of haters like Keith. Exactly what has Adam Lambert done to you? He’s been nothing but honest to everyone, sincere, open, humble, gracious and caring to friends, family and fans. He managed to get his fans to donate over $200,000 to public school’s arts programs.

The best you can come up with is that he’s gay and screams? Are you really serious? That was your best shot at trying to knock this man down? You’re a joke.

Adam’s fans love him for everything he is and wouldn’t want him to be any different. He’s a remarkable person and deserves every bit of success that is coming his way.

This is why, even though Rickey has some really good articles, news and headlines, The comment section is what keeps me from really loving this site. At MJ’s at least you have to be registered and she upholds strict guidelines to posting. Here it is anonymous pretty much, a person can type any name they want, and it is the comments that make me hate it here, even though I like Rickey. When comments are anonymous it just begs for the hateful, and personal attacks for comments. You could have a great blog spot here Rickey, if you made it registered users, and moderated the comments to keep it a respectable and reputable site. j/s

I dunno jen – if Rickey does much censoring then he would just be accused of something inappropriate I’m sure. I agree, the comments are sometimes hateful, hurtful and hooey (couldn’t think of another ‘h’ word) BUT you don’t have to read them. You don’t see the comments unless you click on the post to read more, and then you don’t have to scroll down.
Anyhow, back to Keith or whatever the name was – I’d say just ignore anyone who’s that ignorant. Life’s too short to spend it responding to small-minded people who surf the web to stir up trouble. No singer has 100% fan base – sobeit. Best response is to buy the songs from the singers you like and they will be successful. j/s

LOL @ the lack of “h” word. Yeah, I guess you are right, but I like to leave a comment on things I am interested in and just feel so put off by the personal attacks I get here sometimes, and the unnecessary and deliberate jabs to create a fight rather than a difference of opinion. And poor Rickey does seem to get beat up over just putting things out there, that I can see your point as to why censoring would cause him more grief. Ahh, guess you have to take the good with the bad, eh?

I have absolutely no problem personally with Adam Lambert. Seems like a really nice guy and all but as far as his singing goes, I think he does scream. I found it very hard on the ears & am wondering why during A.I. that Simon didn’t ding him for it. He always makes comments on screamers. I remember Jordin & Carly got dinged a few times about that. Not an Aiken fan but when he made that comment about Adam’s scream, I agreed with him.

Adam’s screams are music to my ears, at least it is in tune and on pitch. The problem I have with Kris is that he has a weak voice and he gets pitchy and out off tune, besides if you check out sites were real musicians and experts hang out they can not stop talking about Adams voice. He is right now #2 on their 100 technically skilled rock vocalist list.
So they seems to disagree with all the nay sayers

ADAM IS AMAZING and yes, he totally deserves the postivie pre-order sales for his debut, which im soooo sure will be utterly amazing. he will be a global star, a force to be reckoned with, and this is only the BEGINNING. he’s charming, he’s talented, he’s ORIGINAL, and most importantly, he is himself, he aint a rip-off of any other pop acts and that to me is the what makes ADAM UTTERLY AMAZING!

I would never allow other people’s opinions to keep me from visiting Rickey’s website. I love Adam and I don’t like reading the ugly words some of the posters write, but at the same time, I don’t mind a reality check once in a while. Sometimes I think I live in an ivory tower or maybe I’m just blessed with good, kind, or considerate people around me, but sometimes I forget that not everyone loves Adam.

@Jude it’s not the worlds greatest vocalist, it’s the most technically skilled rock vocalist, so think of how Adam and Freddy control their voice. I went to youTube and listened to Jackie Wilson. I may not like his dated sound, but I can hear that he’s technically skilled vocalist. I don’t exactly get that he’s number 1. I think Adam should be number one. : )))

Anyone who doesn’t know who Jackie Wilson is, need to go on youtube and check him out. You might recognize some of the other names, Freddie Mercury, Jeff Buckley, and Steve Perry. Not counting the other 90 on the list of great rock vocalist. The list is on the DDD Music Forum. You can find a list for the greatest singers and musicians in practically every genre. Everything from Rock, pop, r&b, to classical. They list the greatest musician from guitarist, drummers, to pianist. If you want to know where your favorite singers or musician ranks, go to this forum and you will be amazed by what you learn

Scamp, Jackie Wilson is dead now so technically Adam right now is #1.But even I don’t have a problem with him at #2. Adam is a new comer so he has to prove himself, but he is #11 on the list of live vocalist among the legends. When you have people like Meatloaf, Brian May, RobertPlant,legends and the ones that follow them like Slash who would never had went on AI and Gary Jules who was very pleased with Adams version of Mad World
They hear something that the musically challenge don’t hear. For the past 20 years nothing but garbage has been on the radio. If you think Britney Spears and Miley Cyrus are singers I worry about the future of music and now you have autotuning going on. Even when rap music first came out 30 years ago it had a purpose.Even Jay-Z doesn’t listen to the garbage he loves his rock and Indie Music. And isn’t LIL Wayne trying to get into rock now, Please All the great singers are coming out of Britian now because they haven’t forgotten what real music is. Music Videos killed it 25 years ago.

Pam. I did not give a link to the forum because for as I am concern if you know anything about music you would have already known about the site. I doubt they would understand the linguistic of it all anyway. Yes half are dead but they are still legends. If not for their music where would we be today. Some people don’t understand how Jackie Wilson a black musician can be considered ROCK, well Rock music came straight out of black music HELLO. Whole Lotta Love sung by Led Zep was originally sung by Willie Dixon a black musician and the list is so long it’s ridiculous. Every rocker would not dare to deny that.Elvis Presley was known to hang out with only black musicians and that’s how he learned to dance the way he did. As for country music which is considered “mainstream” came straight out black slaves music which became Bluegrass music which became “Country” music. So this is why it does not matter whether they are dead are not It is how music has evolved. My hope is for the younger generation of singers to keep it real so in 25 years from now they would be looked at as legends, and no autotuning or fancy videos is going to get them there.

Pam I would ignore you, but it shows your maturity and age when you call people names, just because they have a different opinion than you. I was the one one of those who quoted that webstite and I visit it frequently. If you like Adam or not, I really don’t care, but don’t assume that others are lying just because they appear to know a lot more about music than you do. Grow up and stop calling people names.
