I love this gal! She’s charming AND no nonsense AND she can SING. I love her presence and her huge smile. Thanks for this great audition, Tami Gosnel!

She was captivating with that earnest look and, of all things, a big “John Denver” smile, and probably the easiest flowing voice in the contest. I cant put her in front of Melinda Dolittle and Chris Sligh as my favorites–or maybe I can…I cant decide, but they are the only ones so far that I can imagine watching week after week.

I loved this girl too. As soon as she walked in and began to speak with her slightly raspy voice…I immediately thought of Janis Joplin…then when she began to sing…I said yep.
Then Simon put the cherry on top when he said she reminded him of the 60s.

Here’s another video of her, singing another song. It’s pretty good.
Wouldn’t it be great if this year’s “rocker” was a woman?? Yeah!! I love it!

Okay, I just found the spoiler site on the internet and apparently, Tami didn’t make the top 24. That’s a shame. She offered variety among the female vocalists. AI always does this to the women–they pick all sound alikes, with the exception of the little bit of country they allow. The great Janis Joplin wouldn’t make their ill-informed cut.

This may have been my favorite audition ever in the 3 or so years I’ve watched the audition shows. (I closed my eyes and listened, and wanted to buy a CD of her singing right then and there.)
I hope the spoiler was incorrect. However, I can’t imagine her being much good on those cheesy “Up with People” production numbers they make them do in groups in the next round. I was thinking last night that if they paired her with guys like Sundance, she might survive.
Oh well I hope she gets enough exposure to find a record deal somewhere.
(PS: on spoilers–can you maybe just post the link for those who want the surprised spoiled and leave the rest of us in ignorant bliss?)

on the Spoilers…yeah, I agree. Great that you found the info, but for those who enjoy watching and being surprised, it would be awesome if you would highlight with
SPOILER ALERT or something, so we don’t have to find out on the board. I was looking forward to watching her journey.

I just heard an interesting tidbit on two of my local radio stations that one of the top 24 for AI6 has been “uninvited”. Anyone know if this is true?

This girl is my absolute favorite out of all the people we saw audition. I would be a real shame if she didn’t make the top 24.
