Who the heil did the damn lighting for the ivan and Allison contempo encore?! You could barely seem em, if they were trying to make the lights dim for dramatic effect, seeing the dance would actually achieve that. but no, instead we see Ivan’s white skin.And i like this performance too. You can barely see their facial expressions which is like hel-uh important for this dance. The passion and the magic disappeared! some1 should smack the lights person.

Congratulations to Benji!!! And the rest of the final 4 as well. THey are all amazing in what they do!!! Despite not winning, Travis and Allison can go audition for the Celine Dion show and I have no doubt that they can make it even w/o winning SYTYCD.

i actually teared up….dont get me WRONG benji is amazing and my 2nd pick, but i was just so heartbroken when i didnt hear travis’ name…..congrats benji!!!!! but im so sad for travis…i just dont want him to b sad i think lol…but oh well, at least he lasted the entire competition to the 2nd best, and can walk on with ALL that exposure, experience and learning without the title of “America’s Fave Dancer”…..not that its a bad thing….but sometimes u dont wanna b known as americas next top model, american idol or america’s anything…..either way both deserve the WORLD and travis…..u will always b my #1 inspiration!

im so happy for him…he really deserved it. i thought both of them were great and i thought it was really touching how they were so supportive of each other as the winner was being announced. congrats to all the final 4 and they will all go far.

I teared up a bit when they announced benji and they showed his father and he was crying as well. From the vegas auditions you can tell he really wanted this and there was nothing he didnt tackle and do well.

congrats goes out to benji. ur amazing. i was personally rooting for travis, and i think he is just…well i wont even uese words cuz hes too good for ne word in the dictionary to describe him. travis will go so far…hes a child lol..18 yrs old? hes got so much life and success in front of him…no one shoujld b the tiniest bit worried about him. donyelle just signed with an LA agency…i believe clear or identity, i forget…but travis is gonna have agencies and promotional deals and hollywood KNOCKIN..no POUNDING on his door lol……i wouldnt doubt it if we see him to the elft of benji in celine dions show…or in cirque de soleie that is choreographed by mia…..either way, as sad as i felt for him, ( i just wanted to see him hear his name)….benji is right up there with travis. so to all the benji fans and to benji himself–DO IT BIG!

Congratulations Benji…but I really feel that Travis should have won. But, joey, you are totally right, he has a huge career in front of him, so I shouldn’t even be that upset that he didn’t win.

Plus, I felt really bad for Travis because today more than any other day you could see how much his back was affecting him. Especially in the bench routine and the Tranji routine. And I couldn’t help but wince at the beginning of the paso doble thinking of him holding up Heidi on his back…

i skipped over some of the show so i could watch the winner be crowned, and i just watched donyelle’s solo and her going away…did anyone almost cry??? I just thought it was such a beautiful thing that this show has renewed donyelle’s faith in dance (and her solo kicked ass)! that is just so amazing, and it was amazingly heartfelt. that girl has a beautiful soul…and she cried when benji won! i love donyelle almost as much as benji!

Why don’t girls vote for girls??? The Girls were MUCH better this season, however we had two guy finalist because all of these girls vote for the cute boys. Stop it! Sisters please unite. We still have fewer opportunities and lower wages than our less-talented male counterparts.

The whole time I was wondering WHY the lights were off…? Thus preventing us from actually SEEING this routine…live TV. haha.

And whoever was doing hair for the show is for sure fired after tonight–two hair mishaps (Heidi and Donyelle’s hair falling out during routines) plus the fact that some of the hair just looked like crap.

Can someone please explain to me how Benji magically turned into a person with black hair and big bushy black eyebrows? A bit drastic.

I totally fell in love with this show. I’m so sad its over!! It is so much better than AI–because these people are talented artists who are ORIGINAL and truly gifted. Anyone can sing karaoke, but not everyone can move in such a way that moves people. I love this show!!!!!!!!!

It’s sad that Travis didn’t win. Good for Benji. But in all honesty… I think Travis will become more famous in the dance world because of it. Look at Clay Aiken. I know Benji will be Swing King, but Travis will be overall. Mia Michaels will probably hire him for her dances and he’ll be signed and offered a GREAT position.

He did GREAT on his openning with the 19 other people. He gave the most energy. I didn’t feel energy from the others really.

I miss Allison. She’s an amazing dancer that I wished won if it were based on talent. She amazes me.

HAHAHA… So You Think You Can Dance” all over the world. That’s amazing. This show has inspired many to take up dancing or start all over again.

Remember they had “World Idol” for all the singing idols all over the world… I wonder if there will be a “Dance Idol”. Have the 1st place people dance – like Nick and the winners from all over the world compete.

I love Travis. But C’est La Vie. It’s all about the phones and where the idols fan bases are. Like I said in my last posting [before the Travis Bikini posting], if Travis doesn’t win, it’s definitely about personality [and somewhat dance] because I would date Benji, but dance with Travis.

I’m not saying Benji didn’t deserve it. He did. They all did, but I just wish my favorite DANCER won, not my favorite personality guy. [Opinion]

If I had to choose my winner, it’d be Allison. But that’s over and done with.

I’m so happy for Benji. I cried too. His dad cried. They all cried!! I looked up Buddy Schwimmer on Wikipedia and there was a link to a picture of him in 1976. He looks just like Benji! It’s amazing! So I guess we know what Benji will look like in 30 years! Congratulations Benji!

Thank you for posting these videos so quickly. I tried to Tivo the show, but it got corrupted, so I missed all but the first 15 minutes of it. I was so happy to find this blog with the videos! Could you possibly post the contemporary routine of Travis and Heidi, the one with the bench and the flower? I was so looking forward to it, and was really bummed out when the tivo croaked on me.
I am not surprised about Benji winning. He is great. Travis though caught my eye from the very first time I saw his dancing (on the show that is). He is magnificent. I wish Allison made it to the final 4, the dynamics of the whole thing would be quite different.

ok.. first of all i was so happy to have watched the top 20 dance and the top 10 dance live… i went to their monday 2pm taping… i was so pissed because i could have gone there today for the finale but hotmail wasnt working until 3pm and the call time was 2pm..

moving on.. i think the way they eliminate during the finale was stupid… fine they want to be different but come on… where’s the element of surprise there… if i was the dancer, i dont want my name to be called for the solo…

about benji, its true that travis is more versatile but overall i think he stood out more…

benji was such a comic too… during the taping he was dancing the previous dances i.e. allisons which i forgot which one it is…

First of all….

Heidi & Donyelle were GARBAGE!! Horrible dancers compared to Allison and Natalie. Heidi was an annoying little crack head and Donyelle was getting pity votes!

Benji & Travis were both great dancers but looking at the big picture and what the winner will be doing. Travis should have one the competition hands down!!! Benji will not be able to keep up in Vegas and Travis will end up being the real winner.

Side Notes:
Cat Deeley is horrible. They need a new host!!!
Brian & Mary are annoying.
Dan & Nigel keep it real…love u guys.
Last year’s dancers were of higher caliber!!

I’m in awe when I watch him. The beauty of his movement is what draws me in (technique, technique, technique). His movement is appealing to the eye and that’s what dancing is for me. Yeah, being perfect didn’t get anyone anywhere in any competition. Being perfect is boring. Being consistently perfect, is consistently boring. Travis can go audition for some show where they only judge what their eyes are seeing, whatever, no one will care. He only got this far NOT because of his dancing capability (which is what you relentless fans keep trying to convince yourselves of), but because he was cute (mickey mouse style). He’s lucky that he brought out some cutesy “aww my mommy’th(s) here” and “whee i have a glittewy shirt that thayth vote”. Otherwise he would’ve gone out Allison style. Lucky for him his rabid blind fans who want to hug him like a widdle stuffed animal, VOTE TO NO END. But thankfully for everyone else; all the families, dancers, fans of his persona, and whoever else, VOTED FOR BENJI!

Donyelle has no technique. Her footwork is horrible, moves without a center and can not dance any other style other than her own modern-style.
Heidi’s facials are by far the worst part of her performances but along those lines, other than ballroom
(which is subtly good) her technique is mediocre.
I don’t hate I tell it how it is….so as I said before…GARBAGE!!

Glad we did agree on Travis…at least you have a small eye for talent. Either way go back to “doodlin’” and leave the criticism to real dancers.

i knew it, natalie and dmitry have something goin on together!! no wonder dmitry was cheering for natalie after he got eliminated. i thought dmitry got a gf, he probably broke up with her just like artem broke up with his wife. natalie all along has been lusting for dmitry but on national tv, she fake lust with musa .. haha.

poor ryan, out of the top 10, he’s the only one who didn’t perform .. good!

also i feel bad for those who didnt make it to the top 10. they were just used as backgrounds for the group dance especially ramalana. they were just up there doing whatever and hardly had any lights on them. they joined the top 10 when its bout to end. more time had been spent on their make up than their dance. i wonder if they all felt neglected.

i was gonna watch the tour but tickets are sold out .. damn it!

first of all, I speak for redlands when I say, benji dear you should have remembered us when you went dancing. second, im mad because the dance studio is ganna be crowded now that the Benji won. Third, cat can’t dress worth poop. and the screaming was hideous. that woman is SO annoying my god. travis, cries too much. Love the show, but the filming was to freaking long. I am totally satisfied with the results, Benji and Travis are clearly talented in their own ways, and I love them both for it!!! TRANJI ROCKS!!! with that said, I was happy that Benji won…he was so sweet and genuine and funloving…thats what pushed me over to the Benji side a little bit more…and I mean a little I would have been satisfied with either one of them winning… I do have to say though, I really thought allison had the best shot of the girls to win..I can’t believe that she didn’t even make top 4…But overall, the top 10 of this season was immensly talented, and I enjoyed watching!!! I didn’t like the way they eliminated Heidi and Donyelle either…oh well!!!!

So sad that the season is over…even sadder that Travis didn’t win. Benji is good, but he’s gonna have to work hard to master Mia Michael’s choreography…or he’ll be a sad backup dancer in the show.

I really hope they get a new host…who doesn’t have a whiny voice and has a better wardrobe…Cat’s outfits were hideous! And her hair looked like she didn’t even have time to brush it!!!!

Donyelle’s technique is almost there. Her hip hop and contemporary solos were ALL over the place.

Whoever posted that audition clip of donyelle trying to PROVE she has technique…

1 – She falls out of her pirouette
2 – Her extensions are mediocre
3 – her jumps are not NEARLY elevated enough to have a POW effect
4 – She needs to work on her facial/feet

So no, technically Donyelle wasn’t up there. But she did have a great presence. NOT that she didnt’ have technique but she needed to work HARD to master it. I give her props…didn’t know she stopped dancing. But as Mia said, “this competition isn’t about eyes.”

I’m sad that travis didn’t win. But whatever. Benji to me was just annoying period.

I think Travis was totally robbed. He wasn’t just a Contemporary dancer as some people love to pigeon hole him into this category. He was hot in the Krump, Jazz, Broadway, and rocked in the Paso Doble.

Benji is the King of Swing and the Master of Dorkdom. Heidi is better than her goofy looking cousin.

Travis was robbed. But Travis will make a come back like no one has ever seen.

Ivan was so fantastic in both group routines. In Sean Paul’s Dancehall 1st group number, Ivan was a sexy, brilliant mover–as good as Ryan, in my opinion. And Ryan is Jamaican, so that says just how natural a dancer Ivan is.

Ivan also shined in the ‘Ramalama’ remake. His long lanky arms and perfect timing made him shine–again. Ivan is fantastic even if he is untrained. Once he gets some training, he’s going to be a force in the dance world.

No surprise, but I think they’re both winners. Benji gets the title, but Travis will have more opportunity. Look at Karasan on Project Runway, Clay Aiken on American Idol! Karasan designed Heidi Klums dresses for the following season and Clay was much more successful than Ruben. These folks who came in 2nd are more successful. Instead of poor Travis, I feel sorry for Benji – he’s stuck with Celine for a year! Travis will be able to take any job after the tour, Benji has no choice. Benji might have the title, but Travis will be able to take advantage of his 15 minutes of fame sooner than Benji. Strike while the iron is hot, right?

The top 4 dancers deserved to be there, I wish Allison was there, too – but ah well….

I think the judges were wrong in saying that all of the men in America would suddenly decide that they wanted to learn how to dance after watching Travis perform. To tell you the truth, most of my guy friends hate watching the contemporary and lyrical jazz portions of the competition, especially the male lyrical solos. In fact, that’s one of the things that turned a lot of my guy friends AWAY from the show.

On the other hand, when they watch the ballroom and hip hop guys (i.e. Benji, Dmitry, Musa, etc.) perform, dancing becomes more interesting to them. They’d rather watch the Youtube (and other) samplings of the ballroom and hip hop performances instead of watching the entire show.

it’s true that benji didn’t get contemporary the entire season as one of his dances specifically but if you watch the hide and seek mia dance (top 6 group dance) there is a good example of his contemporary style. i honestly pity him because he is not going to do well in celine’s show if he decides to do it dancing like that. even ivan is better than him in that number. no offense, i like benji, but he really isn’t up to par in terms of contemp, which is what celine’s show is. so if i were him i would be smart and choose not to do it, because he would only embarress himself.

I thought they were gonna showcase the Top 10 in the judges’ encores.. Well, Shane didn’t even get to pick his dance and Ryan wasn’t even in one of them. Even they went out of the way to pair up Dmitry and Natalie for an “encore”.. Oh well. (Not that I care about Ryan and Dmitry. Can we kick them off the tour and replace them with Ashlee and Musa? )

The finale would have been more interesting if they broke the top 20 in groups doing new routines choreographed by each judges. Not the recycled performances. But Ramalama was awesome, and the opening number too.

Congrats to Benji.. Good job. I really thought Travis will win. Oh well. They’re both good. Good luck to both of you.

I think all of the finalists were worthy of the prize. Though, I do think that Travis was the best technical dancer. I believe that Travis’ problem was that while he was partnered with Martha his skills weren’t so apparently obvious. Same goes for Natalie while partnered with Musa. I hope next year they change the ways the dancers are partnered in the beginning so that the good dancers won’t be bogged down by the mediocre dancers.

My favorite dancers were Heidi and Benji. I just love Heidi. Everything about her. What a girl!!! Benji also warms the cockles of my heart. And Donyelle is just a natural born dancer. Her very presence demands attention. She deserved to be there at the end and if she had won, I would have understood.

In the end, CONGRATULATIONS BENJI!!! You worked hard and deserve the win!!!!

I think the best possible thing for Benji to do is not take the Celine Contract, he would get eaten alive in the contemporary style.Mia tried to tell America that but no one wanted to listen. I feel sorry for Benji if he does take the contract because the other dancers would probably resent him. Although he is a good dancer in his own way he is not a serious contemporary dancer.
He would have alot more success on Broadway.

I must be the only person who thinks Benjie should turn down the Celine Dion contract because he’ll have to actually spend a year listening to her music, which could seriously drive anyone mentally insane. Ugh. And working with what seems to be an extremely snobby and egotistical side of the dance industry (from what I’ve seen of Mia and Brian… while they’re great artists, they’re so self-involved, it’s disgusting).

I’d rather see him spend the rest of the year doing an enjoyable style that he’d actually enjoy.

TO whoever said poor Celine Dion for making that two second congrats video, yeah poor Celine for being one of the highest paid entertainers in the world. Poor Celine with sold out Vegas shows. Poor Celine whose show has to take on a single dancer and deal with him, relegating him to the back if necessary. Poor Celine for getting even more exposure with this show.

The only thing “poor” about her is maybe how old and tired she’s looking, but even then she can afford more beauty products with the loose change in her pockets than I could if I worked for a year.

I have to admit, after watching the show last night with an open mind, Benji deserved to win. All four dancers have grown so much. I would have been pleased no matter what the results. I think with the tour they will all only continue to improve.

I love Donyelle’s presence. She has a beautiful spirit and after last nights exit speech I see why America loved her. Don’t get me wrong I know that maybe her technique isn’t where it could be, but I wish her the best of luck and hope that with the tour she will continue to learn/grow.

I have to give the top 4 props. They all had something special. No matter what our personal preferences are…America voted and put them there for a reason.

I need to comment on KAT DEELEY……..she is genuine!! genuinely squeaky, genuinely annoying, and so irritating to watch every week…altho she does have heart. The reason SHE didn’t dance like last years’ host is because last years Lauren Sanchez WAS a dancer..I think not about Kat…she can barely walk on her three inch heels. I hope they find a less annoying host next year… Otherwise, the show was great this year…I just wish the BEST dancer had one..not the poster boy for you know who.

For those of you who keep posting about Benji not taking the Celine contract – Of course that is up to him, and Im sure he will decide to do whatever is best for his career regardless (last year’s winner, Nick, for example, chose not to live in his free apartment in New York that he won, and he rented it out instead =P ) But is everyone really THAT closed minded that they cant have the insight to realize if they put someone like Benji into Celine’s show, they probably arent going to make him just one of the regular dancers? I have actually seen the show, and of course I dont KNOW what they will do with him, but there was this one dancer in the show that played like a little comic relief – he wore a bellhop’s outfit and kinda danced around solo most of the time, in between all of the big dance numbers, and from what I recall he didnt do all that much lyrical/contemporary movement. It was more like the kind of broadway, fun, playful type movement that Benji has been so enteraining in all season. Im sure since Benji does not have the exact same style as the rest of the contemporary dancers, but rather an amazing, charismatic Fred Astaire-type quality from his ballroom background, they will work to highlight that, rather than hide him in the back. Like Mia said, he is a STAR and why would they not try to use that to their advantage? Sure Celine sells tickets, but I personally would buy a (very expensive) ticket again just to see Benji in the show, especially if he is given a cool, fun part…and I am sure there are plenty more who would do the same.

As for ALL the other dancers in the show, we all know that being on TV is a huge boost to your job opportunities, now it’s just up to them to make the most of it. I have no doubt that Travis, Allison, Ivan, Musa, Heidi, Dmitri, Natalie…ALL of them will have great things coming their way in their individual fields, not to mention they now get to get PAID to go dance in front of millions on tour with the show! Congrats to Benji and to all the dancers – you guys made this one heck of a season! Cant wait for next year!

Thanks for the great season Ricky. As always, youâ€šÃ„Ã´ve been superb.

Surprisingly good finale except the Top 20 performance and the amazingly dull Cell Block Tango. Cell Block Tango has so much potential to be a fun routine but the choreography puts you to sleep. And the ladder they had in the routine had no purpose at all. The Top 20 performances appeared good, especially the Wade Robson routine. I also liked how the Top 4 were the only ones standing at the end of the Step Up routine. But the camera work was horrible and you could hardly follow any of the choreography. That took away a lot of the fun.

I liked how they were able to fit everybody in the top 10 into a couple dance. Oh waitâ€šÃ„Â¶they decided to leave out Ryan. I hope Iâ€šÃ„Ã´m not the only one to catch that. He must be pissed that he was left out. I would have definitely preferred seeing a Ryan number over Fergie & Ciara trying to sell more copies of their latest song

It was great seeing Allison & Ivan doing that contemporary routine again. But, again whatâ€šÃ„Ã´s with all this praise for Ivan from Mia? Granted, Ivan was good in it but she could have at least said something good about Allison. Mia spent more time describing her kitchen than talking about Allison

With Donyelleâ€šÃ„Ã´s farewell speech, Benjiâ€šÃ„Ã´s crying, and Benjiâ€šÃ„Ã´s dad crying, this definitely topped Allisonâ€šÃ„Ã´s elimination as the most emotional show of the season. I would have loved if they have given Travis a chance to make a farewell speech like Heidi & Donyelle. Not to mention both Heidi & Donyelle had the whole stage to themselves when they were announced that they wouldnâ€šÃ„Ã´t win. I guess it really does suck to be runner-up rather than coming in 3rd or 4th.

Post 162 & 166. I donâ€šÃ„Ã´t think Benji will dance with Celine either. Benji is not a contemporary dancer. Not to mention, the personalities wonâ€šÃ„Ã´t match and I canâ€šÃ„Ã´t see him doing to well under Miaâ€šÃ„Ã´s direction. I say either go to Broadway or help his father rebuild his dance studio that got torched during the middle of Season 2.

Yeahâ€šÃ„Â¶its over. Now lets start talking about those American Idol auditions.

The final show was great. I loved the format but was
surprised that Benji won instead of Travis. In my
opinion, Travis was an all around better and much more
technical dancer than Benji; however, like Mia said,
Benji is a star. He is truly an entertainer. It was
like comparing oranges with apples..and I further agree
when Mia said that she hoped there would be a “tie” in
the voting. I know that the remaining dancers will all
have a great future because of the exposure they all had
I was happy to see the original judges on the panel last
nite for the first time this season (with the exception
of Shane who was not on the original panel). My favorite judges are Nigel, Brian, Mary, and Mia (who is
my very favorite), They work very well together and
bring their own very unique personalities and their great expertise to the show. Please bring them all back
again next year including Shane. Wade is a very good
choreographer; however Mia is by far my favorite as she
the most brilliant. I also love Mary’s ballroom work
All in all, it is a great show and I can’t wait for the
next season to start.

Post 174- I believe the people who run the AI tour will also be running the SYTYCD tour. I heard that the AI Top 10 don’t get paid for the tour. So, we can probably assume that the SYTYCD Top 10 won’t get paid as well. I believe that they get all their lodging, transportation, meals, and some sort of daily allowance.

Post 182-Agreed that the Celine Dion show should not be part of the winner’s package. If a tap dancer, hip-hop dancer, or any non-contemporary dancer were to win, no way would he/she join the Celine Dion show. Benji has never really stood out in the group routines (i.e.: sexyback, cell block tango, thriller) cause that’s not something he does in west coast swing. And in Celine’s show, I believe all the dance is in elaborate group routines. I say substitute the Celine Dion show with either 1) their own dance special – similar to the prize offered to the Last Comic Standing Winner, or 2) more money. $100,000 is nothing compared to the other reality shows. Seriously, the 2nd place finisher on Survivor gets $100,000 and the only talent you need is to eat bugs, go a month without showering, and telling Jeff Probst how hot he looks.

This season, the Top 5 Girls were clearly superior (as a group) to the Top 5 Guys. But with the teen fangirls voting, it became just a Travis vs Benji competition. Now, eEven with its targeted demographics, I do think that a female could win SYTYCD. If it was just 10-12 year old girls doing all the winning, then Justin Guarini would have won AI Season 1 and Bo Bice would have AI Season 4.

To many viewers, Benji has been the most entertaining and the easy favorite to win for over the past month. But it wasnâ€šÃ„Ã´t until Travis built up all that momentum in the Top 6 & Top 4 performance shows that made this finale so much more interesting. Not to mention all the judges pimping Travis after the Sexy Back routine â€šÃ„Ã¬ right before voting for the Season 2 winner was to start. The finale results even ‘foreshadowed’ a Travis win by giving him a solo and 4 couples routines. Anyways, trying to decide between the Top 2 seemed like a complete toss-up as their dancing is different and unique from each other. The winner could have been Travis or Benji and I think most viewers would have accepted it. In a way, the Benji vs. Travis was reminiscent of the Clay vs. Reuben in AI Season 2.

They will love Benji in Vegas. He can do any number of solo routines and bring the show to a new level. I think we are all a little too stuck on contemporary!

Then after the year is up, TV producers can write him a sitcom for dancers and he can be his funny, entertaining self, dancing and giving a bunch of dancers a chance to work each week which was his goal for his charity organization.

I just think it’s ridiculous for people to say that someone should have or should not have won. The only reason why someone should not have won is if they were NOT the favorite. The votes show that the winner is the favorite, and so that is who should win. That’s why the title is America’s Favorite Dancer.

Rickey, I have been enjoying your blog since the beginning of the show. I missed one episode and was so relieved to find the video clips here I could have cried!

I’m bummed because our DVR cut off the end of the finale! We saw Benji named the winner and the beginning of Celine Dion, but not the finish of the show. Any chance of that clip going up?

I loved every minute of this show. While Travis is truly an exceptional dancer, I don’t think America will vote for a comtemporary dancer every year. Benji got a ton of momentum with his chemistry with Donyelle. That is something money can’t buy. He had me from his audition, but I fell hard once those two teamed up.

Jen, the idol top 10 DO get paid besides the lodging and meals. I talked to someone who talked to Elliott in a greet and meet. They get about $1,000 a show so over 50k.. arent there about 50 shows?

Thanks for the clarification. I don’t follow AI too much so I don’t all those little details. $1000 is fairly good take and that adds up considering they do like 5-6 shows a week. I don’t know if the SYTYCD top 10 will get that. Remember that for an AI performance, they sell about 15,000 tickets. Some of the venues for the SYTYCD tour can only hold 3,000-4,000 people. So, there is going to be a substanially less (75% less) cash flow going into this tour than AI. I hope somehow the SYTYCD top 10 do get the $1000 per show. That would be awesome for them.

The quote below was taken from an US interview.. Does anyone know if Benji was referring to Travis and Heidi when he says give the contract to these 2 here?

From Justin to Kelly?? Don’t tell me you watched that!!! That movie showed that they both should never get into acting.

If I had to guess it would be Travis & Allison. I say Travis cause Mia already said during the Top 6 results show that would hire him for life. I say Allison cause her sister already is a dancer in Celine Dion’s show and Allison has said in other interviews that she would love to have an opportunity to dance with her sister.

I’m not a big AI fan. To me, this show is much better than AI for 5 reasons:

1) Injuries: Its quite amazing what the dancers had to overcome just to perform their routines. Everybodyâ€šÃ„Ã´s knows about Donyelleâ€šÃ„Ã´s toe & Natalieâ€šÃ„Ã´s knee by now. On AI, the biggest possible injury would be Katherine MCPhee chipping a nail.

2) Musical guests: I would much rather that SYTYCD have dance guests rather than musical guests. But in terms of musical guests, I liked SYTCD more than AI. Granted, the guests on AI are aimed at drawing the older 40+ years viewers. But câ€šÃ„Ã´mon. Kenny Rogers? Barry Manilow? Iâ€šÃ„Ã´ll take Nelly Furtado, and Natasha Benningfield anyday.

3) Music: SYTYCD has definitely added more tracks to my IPOD than AI. Not to mention, there is much more music variety in my IPOD too. I even started liking Annie Lennox and thatâ€šÃ„Ã´s something I thought I would never do.

4) A better finale: I really didnâ€šÃ„Ã´t need to hear Dionne Warwick, Prince, or Meatloaf. I rather have the Top 10 AI finalists pair up with each other and see what happens. Also, I do like the format of the Top 4 finale than SYTYCD has. It was clear that it would be a Travis vs. Benji Top 2. But by including Heidi and Donyelle, the Travis vs. Benji was no slam dunk especially given Donyelleâ€šÃ„Ã´s fan base. Hence, you get more intrigue and excitement for the finale. On AI, the Taylor vs. Katherine Top 2 just seemed bland, and it was almost a given that Taylor would win. Whereas, if you had Taylor vs. Katherine vs. Elliot vs. Chris for the win, then it would have been ratings gold. Even a Top 3 finale with Taylor vs Katherine vs. Elliot would have worked too. Remember how close the voting was for that?

5) The partnering: On AI, you argue about the best singer. On SYTYCD, you argue about the best dancer AND best couple. You could’ve a bunch of interesting and creative options with the couples too. The Natalie/Dimitry pairing just happened on the finale results show. I would have loved to see what could happen if you paired up Allison/Benji, Natalie/Travis, and Heidi/Ivan. Although, the Heidi/Ivan pairing wouldâ€šÃ„Ã´ve been very bad. As an added bonus, at some point, you do start to think that â€šÃ„ÃºHmmâ€šÃ„Â¶.Allison & Ivanâ€šÃ„Â¶.are they doing each other when theyâ€šÃ„Ã´re dancing not on stage?â€šÃ„Ã¹ Or Benji & Donyelle? Or Benji & Travis? Unfortunately, this fun game never happens with AI.

Many Congrats to Benji, he’s a great entertainer, but I’ve been a 100% Travis fan since auditions. His dancing mesmerizes me. The tour isn’t coming anywhere near Houston and I’m going thru withdrawals worrying that I may never get to see him perform again. How am I gonna get my weekly Travis fix??

Does anybody have a video they can post of the solo Travis danced the first night his mom was there? I saw it on YouTube but they’ve taken it down now. That 30 seconds has got to be where the quote that Travis “moves like a leaf tumbling on the breeze” came from. Awesome. And the bench routine … no words.

Love love love Travis and I just hope the stars align to help this non-dancer keep track of how he’s doing and how his career rolls along. Best of luck, Trav!

One last thing — Benji’s “Le Jazz Hot” routine with Donyelle — did anybody see Jack from Will & Grace instead of Benji up there on the dance floor? Hysterical!

In my honest opinion This season of So You Think You Can Dance had to be the best season ever. I remember watching the season finale of the show on Wednesday night. It sure was a fantastic show. During the Season I had some favorite performances. One of my favorites was Benji and Travis’s Tranji routine which was awesome. Anotther favorite of mine was the solos. I was hoping that Benji would win. When Cat read that he was the winner he started crying because he couldn’t believe it and I was surprised. Congratulations Benji

The finale was great!!!! I am so happy for Benji, he totally deserved it!!!! Although I was rooting for Benji, I wouldn’t have minded if Travis won too because they’re both amazing dancers. However I like Benji a little better because he is so goofy and fun loving and he always makes me smile whenever I watch him dance. Good job to all 4 finalists.

I didn’t really like Donyelle, but her speech made me a little teary, and I finally realized that she wasn’t bad at all. The entire show was really emotional!

Natalie and Dmitry…what a couple!!! I’m glad we got to see them dance together, they were awesome!!!!

Sad that the season is over I can’t wait for season 3!!!!!!!!!
