Adam singing Zeppelin was a perfect fit. I hope Jimmy Page is getting Bonham and Jones on the phone. They’ve got a real replacement for eccentric Robert who ditched plans on a Zep tour. They couldn’t find anyone who would do Zep justice. I think Adam would be awesome in New Zep.

RU Kidding me??? It was okay, but Robert Plant he ain’t. He’d have done much better with Black Dog by Led Zep and it’s a better song. I HATE to admit it, but he did pull off the number one solo this evening, and Chris was second. Whomever is advising Danny/Chick on song choices should be slapped across the face with a sock full of shi!. Dream On is one of my favorite songs, and Janis one of my favorite performers…they both made me rethink that.

This was the only SOLO I even remotely liked. Simon called it – even without seeing the dress rehearsal. There were 2 GREAT performances… This one and the ADAM ALLISON duet. Everything else was pretty AWFUL.

Amazing, as usual!!! I totally agreed with the judges.

This song was the perfect vehicle for Adam to shine on ROCK night! He did Robert Plant justice with smashing vocals. I loved his look, especially the closer cut hairstyle.

He was the creme de la creme.

Adam your were quite simply brilliant. Your were born to sing that song and boy you really sang it man. You blew my mind. Led Zepplin would be proud of you. Im so glad your back in your own voice and a better place. You seemed to go off for a few weeks. Slash is right though I prefer your voice in a lower register for most of the time and then when you hit the high notes it gives them more gravitas.You have it all baby. Adam to win. Adam should have done well tonight, and he did – no surprise – except that I think there must be far better songs for Adam’s voice. If he goes with this scream-genre (actually this sort of music sounds like buzzing bees to me – one long constant head-exploding zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz – and I can hardly stand it) – well, if he goes with this genre exclusively, people are going to miss out on his talent. Well, maybe just me, because while I would buy just about any CD of Adam’s, I won’t if it’s full of this noise.

Now, let’s be equal opportunity here, and have a Christian/Gospel night. I think Adam would do just fine on that night as well – likely he would be quite excellent. And, to top it off, an Adam-Danny duet. Yes, I am being serious. And yes, I am more open-minded than the haters in Danny’s thread. It is possible to admire and praise talent without tearing down other contestants. Adam’s fans don’t need to rip Danny apart because it is an insult to Adam’s talent.

So any and all criticism of Adam can only be from “homophobes”? This is getting really tiresome. There is an old saying that people who worry about whether people are talking about them would be shocked to learn just how little people are talking about them. Same for the segment of people who keep bringing up Adam’s personal life.

I think you would be shocked and disappointed to learn just how little people are thinking about Adam’s personal life (whatever it may be – don’t care, none of my business.) I think you hope people are thinking about his personal life, and dwelling on it as much as you evidently are, and in the case of Christian audience members, you hope they are rushing to the phones, voting for any other contestant than Adam out of pure spite (or “homophobia”) But guess what? I think you are totally wrong. I think people will vote for Adam if they love his talent, and against Adam because they love some other contestant more. Pure and simple as that.

If Adam wins, it will be because of his talent, and should not be interpreted as anything more than that. And if he loses, please don’t insult us all and say it was because American Idol voters were bigoted (I know you may, anyway, but it doesn’t hurt to ask.) A part of me would like Adam to win just so I would not have to hear the whining. However, I have a lot more respect for Adam and his talent than that. If he wins, I want it to be because American Idol voters thought that he was the best man, the best voice.

Adam & Kris are the only contestants this season to make the Billboard Top 100. If the producers let Hokey Gokey win, then they will lose.

Maybe that’s best anyway… It might be better for Adam’s career to sign with a different (better) label anyway.

I like to hear different things come out of performances, and Adam it is what it is. When he did Track of my Tears, it was amazing, that is what i waited for from him, but that was the only week he changed up his style and voice… Adam takes no risks, which people argue that Adam could do anything, well i thought adam sucked at country music, Danny’s music isn’t Rock, so why should he go home because of one performance, same thing for Kris. It’s funny to see all the hardcore Zep fans defend Plant’s original take over Adam’s performance.

I’m a drummer, a metal and rock music listener… a big fan of Zep and I have to say… this was the best performance of the night and one of the best of Adam’s. I know there are people that have issues with Adam, or think his other songs were better, but I’m sorry… I disagree. Anyone who takes on this song and does that good of a job, deserves credit where it’s due. I listened to it 5-10 times and I am still blown away each and every time.

When AI season 8 began and I saw Adam Lambert I was saying to myself who is this guy. I missed the first episodes of the auditions and it wasn’t until they narrowed it down to the finals that I realized at that moment that Adam could not only sing but also he could bring the house down with his amazing vocals and hot performances. People should spend less time worrying or talking about what kind of lifestyles any of the idols have or do in their personal lives. We should focus on the ability of how Adam makes us feel when he gets up on the stage and performs. Last night was hot and every other week Adam never let’s us down. I am an older fan and yes when Adam has his own tour I will go to his concerts. You go Adam you deserve to win the title.

I’m kind of confused at all of you dumbasses that continuously say Adam is “screaming” in all of his songs. He probably has one of the best, and most powerful rock voices I’ve ever heard in my life. And if he is “screaming” all the time, wouldn’t Simon say something about that, and maybe throw an insult or two in Adam’s direction? I think Simon has a really good ear and I’ve almost always agreed with what he has said. So, I imagine that people that say Adam is screaming, are either deaf, or are just joking and trying to stir up controversy…

And by the way, nobody else deserves to win because nobody has proven themselves week after week like Adam does. I can promise that nobody will sell more albums, or more concert tickets than Adam.
Even though I do like the other singers, I find myself getting tired of them too fast and just waiting for Adam to perform again. It’s like there are two different competitions. There is Danny vs Allison vs Kris. And then there is Adam vs the votes of America.
I actually kind of hope that Adam won’t win because I think American Idol will hold him back for a few years, just like it did with previous winners.
So I guess, I dont give a shit if you guys vote for him or not because he has already solidified himself as a rock star, and he will continue to do so, with or without the American Idol label.

gokey is one dimensional singer. adam is well rounded artist. & thats basically the reason why AI have themes. Led Zeppelin’s whole lotta love is a very difficult song to sing. but then adam made it look real easy when he sings… just effortless… those beautiful high notes. unfortunately for gokey he tested his “limited” singing skill by screeming & he failed big-time. now, anyone who are danny gokey fans in my adam greatness page, we are not disputing that gokey will win. he’ll be crown as the JOKE american idol of 2009. game over. his last note last nite sounded like a pig that is about to be slaughtered. my gush! cant stop laughing.
