Constantine Maroulis has been nominated for Best Leading Actor in a Musical for the 2009 Tony Awards for the musical “Rock of Ages”. The Tonys air June 7 on CBS.

Could Constantine be the first American Idol Tony Award winner?

I went to see Constantine on Broadway in “The wedding Singer” and then again in the off-Broadway play, “Rock of Ages”. I’m planning on seeing “Rock of Ages” again now that it’s moved a few streets over to Broadway. The music is fabulous and so is Constantine. Constantine is gorgeous in person. I got his autograph and spoke briefly to him at the stage door. He’s a doll baby. Thanks for the good news, Rickey. You’re a doll baby, too.

I always adored him when he was on Idol
and will never forget the night he was voted
off – the ‘White Shirt’ night we called it.

I was never really a fan of him on Idol because he was rock-theatrical rather than a recording star in the making. Congrats to him on the well earned Tony nomination!

Congrats to Con and the Rock of Ages cast. The play has been nominated for Best Musical and the Director has been nominated too.

My niece and some friends saw him in the audience at “Hairspray”…NYC…she said she and some other girls went up to him and he was really nice.
