I still think it is unfair that Melissa — WHO DID NOT DANCE THE GROUP DANCE AT ALL LAST WEEK — is still in the competition. She doesn’t look like she has a hairline fracture in her ribs that would prevent her from dancing. Cheater! This show is rigged! So unfair.

And we’re supposed to feel pity for her because she’s dancing injured? But she got a free pass! I feel no sympathy. Justice for Julianne Hough!

Rickey, Melissa is a beautiful, talented dancer, and deserves to be on the show and deserved the scores she got. Your “it’s not fair” pouting sounds very childish! She is one of the most talented dancers on the show, and should be in the finals because of it.

The week Steve-O got hurt and was judged on the tape of his rehearsal dance he was saved too. Obviously the rules allow for injuries, and the fans apparently wanted to give Steve-O AND Melissa another chance…..but Gilles is probably gonna win.

Melissa did not dance the group dance! There is a difference. She got FULL SCORES for that. That’s what I am whining about.

Who get’s scored for not dancing, not even a rehearsal? Apparently Melissa — who didn’t even look injured tonight.

Steve-O was “dancing through” his serious injury even after he was saved that night.

I agree, she didn’t even dance the group routine!!! Completely unfair to every other contestant. Should have been disqualified right there. I would rather anyone win than her.

She needs to go, but I know that isn’t happening.

Just because Melissa doesn’t look injured, doesn’t mean she’s not. She is a performer doing what she is supposed to do, make the audience forget about the injury while she is dancing because she is not letting it seep into the performance. Believe me, it can be done. I have seen girls with sprained ankles, broken toes, etc. put their POINTE shoes on, go dance a show, and no one would ever know they were injured. That is the mark of a great dancer.

Part of this show is about gaining a fan base that will vote for you. Melissa has apparently done that, as she was saved last week. It is not really about who is the best dancer. If it was, Sabrina Bryan would have never been eliminated when she was, along with others who were let go too soon. Yes, she may not have done the group dance, but she is fully capable of doing every step in that dance and would have earned those points had she been able to dance.

I’m with Rickey. Fine, judge her practice/staging dance for her solo. However, she had nothing to do with that group number and injured or not, she did nothing to deserve the score they got.

I love you rickey but I think you are being completely biased! she totally deserves to be there she is one of the best and one of the most popular which is why she is still there, seriously people chill out this show is mostly for entertainment its not exactly a real competition and people love watching Melissa which is why she is still here and why they tried as hard as they could to make sure she stayed in the competition. It’s called ratings people for example last week I don’t believe she was really in the bottom two I think they just did that to scare people and keep people interested and on the edge of their seat, it worked for me lol…
Honestly would you really be making this much of a fuss if Gille or lil Kim were in the same situation? I doubt it but maybe I’m wrong, I just don’t think you really like her at all no matter what she does, which is totally fine cuz everyone is entitled to have their own favorites…

What does it matter whether or not Melissa got scored for the group dance. She ended up at the bottom of the score board anyway. The bottom line is the fans want her in. This show is all about the fans’ votes.

Why are you always criticizing Melissa on Dancing With the Stars? Did you ever think that maybe her doctor advised her to rest her rib injury so it would not get worse? If you look at all of her performances on Dancing With The Stars, you will see that she deserves to be in the finals, and that is what her fans and the viewers know and that is why they voted for her. So quit “putting her down” and focus your attention on positive viewpoints.

Melissa was marked down for not being in the group dance last week because the group did worse without her there. Not to mention she without a doubt was the overall best of the night and definitely proved that she deserves to be in this competition.

I’m totally fine with people liking her, whatever, because a person can root for whomever they want. BUT to say that it was fair for her to continue through the comp when she didn’t even perform the group dance while all the others did… now that is having blinders on.

WTF? Rickey, your biasness is grating on my nerves. I used to think that you are impartial on the critiques but clearly you continue to put down your non-faves.

What dya expect from a dancer who is injured? To get 0? Thats stupid, why would she risk it and dance in pain when this is just a show?

In Xfactor, Diana Vickers got a free pass when she had some throat illness and didnt even get judged and noone cares. There is no doubt if Steve-O had a group dance, he will receive the same treatment too so how can you throw comparisons like that?

And whats up with liking Julianne?I hate her with passion.

Rickey I agree with you 100% she is not star why is she on this show? Because she was on a reality show after 9 weeks on National TV searching for love she gets dump that does not make her a star that makes her stupid but the worst thing is America fell for that bull#^**. They could of found other star’s who’s career needed a boost. It’s all set up for her and Tony to win it’s bull crap and the way they talk to Lil Kim they don’t talk to Shawn or Melissa like that. I don’t care what her back-round is it is disrespectful!

PS. I don’t watch the Bachelor so I could careless.. She did get the scores for the group dance 889 which she did not deserve she did not dance Lacey did.

Melissa’s Samba was stellar. Giving her a zero? We should try and keep some credibility here.

Life isn’t always fair, we’re all old enough to know that now, you get up and get on with it. Melissa has, the other competitors have, whining is so borish and it’s also one part of what separates the losers from the winners.

If you don’t like the show’s rules, don’t watch it. The producers made up the rules long before Melissa or Steve-O were injured. Rickey, I have cancer and have a handicapped parking permit because I can not walk far distances but yet, to look at me, I ‘look’ just fine. Do you judge all books by their covers, would you confront me in a parking lot and say ‘you don’t look like you have a handicap’? I hope you learn something from this and just go back to posting more positive and entertaining items on your page and I hope your page doesn’t continue to go towards a ‘perezhilton’ type web page. If so, I’ll just move on and wish you well.

Rickey, the old lesson ‘don’t judge a book by it’s cover’ is what I was talking about. You say this is entertainment but how is your negativity entertaining especially when you jump to conclusions? I was only using my situation as an example as I have had people assume I am not handicapped because of my looks. Since you and I have never met, you could not have been using any post as a slight towards me.

I’ll just click past the parts of your page that don’t entertain me and find the parts that do, just like turning the channel on my tv.

While I get your complaint Rickey, I think the producers found themselves in an unexpected position and had to make a quick decision. Melissa was ready to dance and had a bad reaction to her treatment.

By allowing Steve-O to be judged on his rehersal earlier in the season, they allowed him the opportunity to stay on the show. If Melissa had not received team dance scores, she would not received the same opportunity. Because the scores are combined as percentages of totals, her 5 points down from Chuck and Julianne came out to less than 2 percentage points. It took A LOT of votes for her to have enough more of the percent of total votes to stay in. Without those team scores, she would have been eliminated. She could not have mathmatically had the same chance they gave Steve-O.

Perhaps they should rethink the decision they made, but I think it was actually the fair thing to do given that the show had given an injured performer the chance to stay previously.

My question is why didn’t they judge her based on rehersal of the team dance? She danced that as much as she did her individual dance. Lacey did the choreography she and Tony rehearsed, so in reality, she did dance the team dance just not on performance night.

There is also the question of not hurting her team. I think they will likely evaluate their rules in the future, but it is my opinion that given how quickly they had to make the decision, they did what was keeping with the rules and what was fair considering what they did for Steve-O earlier in the season.

Despite what some of you think, Rickey is entitled to have favorites and cheer for those favorites on the different reality shows he highlights on this site. This is fun. Not life and death, not the end of the world if our “faves” don’t win ! Goodness.

(Sorry Rickey) I was not a Sanjaya fan. Yet I read with interest, sometimes while belly-laughing at the fun and joy this person seemingly brought to Rickey. Why must it be more than that?

Alot of the articles Rickey posts are not written by Rickey. Yet some of you people feel Rickey should not post them because it makes him seem biased against your “fave”. BUNK I say…BUNK. Pure and simple. If it is something of interest, then I say, let Rickey post it and danged with you all.

I read today about Danny Gokey and a “plausible” Lenscrafter affiliation. I came to Rickey’s site to see if it was here and (as of now) cannot find it. I was interested to see what some of you Gokey fans were thinking about it. Oh well….

Leave Rickey alone. I love his site whether or not he agrees with me- it is a great site to browse and have a lot of laughs at times…..

I posted a few blogs directly on dancing with the stars page. The entire show is a set up. ABC uses melissa as stage ploy to boost viewer ratings, and controversy. Right from the start it was started when she was called in last min when the producers knew she had prior dance training. None of the stars that were on dancing with the stars had that. This is what we call bias and not equal to the other contestants. and yes ricky is right. The show is not equal and fair right from week 1. That being said , ABC wants to show viewers that melissa is the ultimate come back kid. Like Len put it..She has come back and risen from the ashes. Just like she did when she was humilated on bachelor , and now with the rib injury. I wrote the post on dancing with the stars, that it must be some patch.take a look at my post. The girl had lynocaine, which numbs the area but she would have still been stiff in her dance. ANd for the supporters who believe she just has a higher threshold for pain. Its the other way around she has a high threshold for drama, lies, and sucking in viewers to help abc boost ratings. There is a petition going around to get melissa off the show, There are over 100 people on there including myself. I will not watch the show anymore because Its very clear to me that the semi finals were finalized way before they were final.
