I think she is great, but she sang exactly like Mcphee did. She should have changed it a little bit. I think Kath sang it better, but Ally was realy good too. And I hate how Simon is sayng she was bad just because he wants an Adam X Danny finale!

I loved it! She was amazing! She really deserves to be in the finale! She and Adam are incredible vocalists! But I’m so afraid she’s going home tomorrow! Hopefully what Simon said actually encouraged people to vote for her. She completely deserves to stay.

Not the kind of maturity and confidence you might expect from a 16 scratch that 17 year old, the youngest contestant still left standing.

I love the look. Props to the stylist.
She really has that signature stomp eh.

At the beginning I was thinking of maybe it would have been better if she didn’t belt out and just sang it quietly but with emotions. But yep, McPhee already did that. And besides Allison will lose her rock persona with that path. Allison is a rock chick and remained in the competition for being true to what she is. So by the end of the performance, I was convinced and liking it.

Not her best but still up there for the night.

If it weren’t for Adam I would be voting hardcore for Allison ( and Kris). I’m exactly 7 days younger than her and I can’t believe how professional she is! I’m not a singer but I have been an instrumentalist my entire life pretty much and I can only dream of having the stage presence that Allison has.

But I agree with the above’s boyfriend. She does mumble the lyrics and never enunciates her words. I don’t know if this is intentional, but it is just as bad unnecessary vocal runs.

For example at 1:10 – watch is not pronounced WOHNTCH.

I like Allison, but I don’t like lazy vocalists.

Thanks lotus for the download on mcphee; I loved her that season and wish she would have won; but Allison has got the more distinctive individual sound over Mcphee. Listening to allison without watching the performance…man! It was like she was singing with her heart and soul. That girl can really go places; I think shes definitely learned so much from this competition; i hope she makes it!!!

allison is gifted beyond belief and anyone who argues that should just shut it. there is absolutely no reason that she shouldn’t be in the finals. it’s just her bad luck that adam happens to be competing against her this season. any other season, she’d win by a mile.

Are you people really that “NAIVE”, it just makes me LAWL like a giddy school girl. Simon created a sense of urgency for Allison, and kind of put the dagger in Matt. Simon’s comments were along the lines of, “Oh Matt you were absolutely BRILLIANT, I totally disagree with Randy”.

Now when people vote they will think Matt will be safe because he was so BRILLIANT and others are voting for Matt, soooo let’s help Allison get some votes. Remember this year they added the save a contestant, and now that it’s gone judges can’t save no one, so AGAIN that pushed the sense of urgency back on Allison.

I’d put 1000 bucks on it that was Simon’s intentions, Matt’s an amazing singer can’t deny that, but Allison would put more money in Simon’s pocket in the long run. Though at this point it doesn’t really matter if Allison or Matt goes, we all know it’s going to be Adam and Danny in the finals.

what’s so great about Kris other than his insane good looks, and persona? He’s like the Jason Castro of last year as in he hasn’t got anything vocally that the others don’t. With the exception of “Ain’t No Sunshine” and “She Works Hard for the Money,” he’s never shown that he deserves to be less than 10 weeks away from “Idol status.” Sure, Danny is probably not the sharpest of characters, but he’s still a much more interesting singer than Kris.
