I liked Danny Gokey — September reminded me of P.Y.T. which I loved — although it was blatantly transformed into some gospel thing which I dnw. But loved the beats.

Adam Lambert was good — but he is just so much better singing live. The recording just doesn’t compare.

Kris Allen was wonderful as usual.

The best however was Anoop Desai. Anoop was robbed. This was a great recording as I expected — just didn’t work in a shortened live version. Oh well.

LOL Gie, you sound like me. Now, that Anoop’s gone, I don’t care who wins. To me, he was the only interesting part of the show. Now it has become very predictable and everyone and their mother knows that the final three will come down to Danny, Adam and Kris and they’ve been predicting that for weeks now.

I have to listen to Anoop’s studio version now. I love all of his recordings. I’m glad that when I come here, I see all the support of fellow Anoop fans and I agree, he is destined for good things!

Anoop finished SIXTH in a season with amazing talent. There is NO SHAME in that. He wasn’t robbed. There was just 5 people american liked better. At one point, there was 12 people american and the judges liked better, so he actually lasted longer than he should’ve.

He did not have the voice to win this show.
He knew it too. He is much more confident in studio.
Nice recorded voice but not a winner for American Idol. You have to radiate confidence and nail these songs every week like Adam and Danny have done.

Adam and Danny have been the most consistent.
and go argue with Kimberley Caldwell too:)
She recently said she thinks DANNY has been the most consistent performer of ANYONE they have EVER had on the show!!!!!

I really really love love love love ADAM verison! It’s beautiful and heartfelt and you can hear how beautiful his voice is. It IS MUCH better live though but the recording it beautiful! I’ll have to listen to the others on youtube.com later!

As some of you say that Anoop got Robbed . . . Well, I think he should have stayed one more week, however, someone has got to go and It was his time. The other people have a stonger and better voice than he does if you really listen to it. The others (Kris, Danny, Adam) have more confidence as well. Anoop needs to work on the upbeat songs. He’s excellent,amazing with the slower songs like (Everything I do) I do it for you, True colors, etc. Adam is the amazing one with amazing confidences. He acts, performs, dance, and SINGS with his whole heart!!! Love watching him!

I just downloaded most of them and I’m surprised there’s not more talk here about Adam’s! Yes, Anoop’s is good, he has a GREAT recording voice and I really like this version of the song. Donna did this live (start out slow and then take it uptempo). Unfortunately at this point in a season of great talent, every week now a very talented performer is going to go home. I would have sent a couple of others home before Anoop myself, but he was never destined to win this thing. But it’s a shame he didn’t get to stick around for next week’s theme, I think he would have done better then some of the others. This is a great recording – buy it!

I actually am really enjoying Kris’ studio version. It’s awesome! His spin on it really brought it up to date and it’s one I’ll listen to a lot on my Zune. I think that’s what really makes the song a hit in my book. It’s not just a re-hash of the original song, but somehow different and listenable in it’s own right. Like Carly’s ‘Here You Come Again’ last season. I’d never listen to Dolly’s version but I’m still always playing Carly’s version. Kris did that on this one – I love it! Buy it.

And lastly – Adam’s. The long studio version is another OMG wonderful song for me. I love his live performances, but the live version of this one is just too short. This studio version is awesome! And the plaintive, haunting high notes are even MORE so here. Unbelievable. Heart-wrenching. Moving. Absolutely BUY IT!

Yes, I listen to all the studio recordings for all the other contestants. But I am all out with you. Anoop is the best this week! Usually I like Adam’s too but this time Anoop’s is better! Still can’t believe he got the boot. It is totally Robbed. Just like last season with Michael John. They are fools to let a talented one go away so soon. The SAVE do not do justice. I still think Anoop should have at least deserve another week. Oh well… but let’s keep the hype going. Download his songs often and request his songs for radio airplays this week as much as we can so that he can gain the attention of some record producers to sign him up as soon as possible. And Anoop, you do have fans around the world and we won;t forget you and we’ll want to hear you more.

Danny is nothing like Taylor.
Taylor has his own style and Danny has his.

his voice is much stronger and he can sing alot of other styles too. and looks wise WOW he is really getting cuter every time we see him.
Talk about a transformation:)

Cant wait to see the Rat pack song.
I do think these guys that are left are all the best talented guys on the show ever..
But Danny is my favorite! for sure. He just can really make people sit up and take notice when he sings! Like Paula says he slays you with his vocal ability.

yes, i am glad anoop’s out too, samy…i couldn’t bear the treatment they gave him for excellent performances…the producers had made up their mind long ago, and this is a rigged show, which any music aspirant should avoid like plague…it works well for people with tons of experience on stage though, i imagine…Anoop will mature and go far, and that time, the world will rock rock ROCK!

Matt and Allison and even DANNY are bound to be the next punching bags of the judges. The indication was that – Simon commented on DANNY’s stage presence…So there…Matt and Danny are in trouble…Allison, might make it to top 3 because of the gender issue…though i think her voice needs to mature and she sounds pretty lame trying to come off as a grown woman…She can sing though…she just needs to grow up…

Danny the new punching bag…I sincerely doubt it. Only because he already is everyone else’s punching bag. Everything from here on in is honest criticism (although it isn’t readily apparent to everyone), and all the contestants should take it as such. While Danny certainly isn’t glam, it isn’t readily apparent that glam is the only thing that people are looking for. If it were, Allison would be the second highest vote getter. There are people who don’t enjoy rock…and Adam has already taken the larger piece of the rock crowd. Danny will likely get far because he is NOTHING like Adam.

Many people always think that their non-favorite contestant skates by while their person gets dumped on. It is the same complaint every week from the fans of the contestants who get booted. Its obvious to me where Danny wants to take his career, and it bothers some people that it is gospel. Well, chances are he isn’t your favorite anyway, so who cares?

Ha, ha… the only thing I’d take advice from Kim Caldwell about is how to pick-up David Cook (then again, she got dumped, so maybe not). I could not care less who she thinks is consistent. I am far from an Adam fan but to say anyone other than him has been the most consistent is ludicrous. The guy never ever messes up – and he’s interesting (which is my biggest complaint about Danny – he’s about as interesting as a paper bag). (To be fair, Danny does have a nice voice.)

I am so happy MAtty G was saved! So worth it.
Once again his studio recording is awesome.
I hate that song like crazy but he made it sound so cool and current. Kudos to Matt.
I hope he goes past Top 5.
Everybody is saying he is the next one to go, but I wouldn’t count him out just yet.
I think he can still have a moment on this show, especially with a jazz week coming up.

Anoop gives his best studio performance by far. Truth be told, I don’t even recognize him with his studio voice because he’s so much smoother than on competition nights.

Lil does a nice “modernized” cover but she isn’t distinctive enough as a vocalist. “A to zaaaaay” is bizarre.

Matt disappointed. I thought it would be better based on his live performance. Oh well.

I hate, hate, hate how Danny changed the lyric. I’m not fond of his talking during the song either. Otherwise it’s probably his best studio performance.

Allison’s rock version of Hot Stuff, a song I was never really fan of, isn’t bad at all. Given the lyric it’s a little bit creepy since she’s only 16 but that reality’s not at all reflected in her vocal.

Adam left me cold in the studio. The chorus is way too slow ruining what might’ve been. Dang it!

Kris? Wow. I don’t know how he did that but it’s amazing, like an entirely new song. Always thought the original was cheesy. Not his version though. Well done!

I didn’t say this earlier, but it bothers me that they botched Allison’s studio recording. like, the last three to four seconds of her recording is the beginning of Kris’ performance, and he even gets vocal in. =/ i love Kris, but still, i don’t want him invading on my Allison’s perfect song. i say TPTB next week should make up for it by apologizing to Allison live for their mistake and letting her have the Pimp Spot, guaranteeing me her safety to the Top 4. =D
