Simon hates her and wants her to go home. It’s obvious by his playing Allison up saying she’s the only girl left worth anything and then slamming Lil. This performance wasn’t that bad. It was no worse than Allisons who was very pitchy and horse.

The judges have wanted Lil to do all R&B and she’s just not interested. You can’t make someone sing something they just don’t want to.

She has yet to deliver what I was expecting and hoping from Lil. She started the Top 12 (13) as making my Top 5, but now I want her to go home. I didn’t much care for Kris’ performance, either, but at least it was in line with what he SHOULD be singing. Matt was weak in the bridge. Other than that, everyone was good.

What in the world is it with this show? They complain about not having enough time to show all the judges making comments (and even when they cut it down to two judges only for each singer, they are still tight on time) and yet, they could cut out a lot of time by not having the contestants walk out on stage at the beginning, talking about the band and then spending way too much time talking about Terrentino (or whatever his name is) and his movies. What a waste of time.

LIL – I don’t think knows. She auditioned with BIG BELTING VOCALS. She made it into the Top 12 (13) with a mary j song. Since then… She’s done nothing along these lines, really.

I haven’t been a fan of Lil’s all season. I agree that she never delivered. Still, I hate to see Simon tear her apart like that and I can understand her defiant attitude (tonight, anyway). They tell her to make a song her own and she tried. Ahh … goodbye to you, Lil.

Bad song choice for Lil. She isn’t experienced enough to change up a song. The vocals were good at the start, but that switch was not good. I’m amazed this is the same person who sang Be Without You, and owned it, just six weeks ago.

Note: Paula only complimented the song, nothing about how Lil sang it.

Listened to the song again. She went flat many times (from beginning to end). She’s very choppy in her style and phrasing. Musically, she doesn’t have it. I think this is it for her.

I luv me som Lil Rounds. But I am afraid it might be over. I luv the song the rose. I think she sang it. personally I am tired of Simon and all of his facial expressions. Just say you want Adam to win Simon. Lil could have sang ” Not gon Cry by Mary J from Waiting to Exhale or I’m Goin down from Car Wash. But she sang that song. The best tonight was Anoop. Lil has the vocals……she just needs some guidance on picking songs people want to hear from her.

Tonight..IMHO…was one on her better performances. I think Simon was just sick of her choice of songs. Its not like she’s going to sell songs like The Rose. She needs to leave the momma image at home.

If she doesn’t go this week…it will be next.

I like her but have no interest in listening to her sing anymore.

I agree with Lil deserving the criticism and Allison not deserving the praise. I like Allison but that performance was not her best. Anoop performed in the first half of the show four times in a row night. They could have atleast put him in the pimp spot after being in the B2 two weeks in a row. Oh wait nvm the porducers don’t love him:( He is so underrated. Lil should be the next one packing. Once she’s gone, we’ll have a real competition.

Everyone is complaining about Lil being in the pimp spot. This was done on purpose I’m sure, because the public wouldn’t be calling in complaining that they missed Lil because the morons at FOX can’t run a show properly and it runs over time. The FOX morons need to tell the judges to quit the grab ass and the stupid games and focus more on their jobs as judges, then maybe we wouldn’t be cut off, or only hear 1/2 of the judges input.
Sorry for the negativity, just a trainwreck all the way around from what should be the most well oiled program, on TV. Idol is going to lose a lot of credibility if they running the show like a circus and making bad judgments on how to fix problems.

In my opinion Allsion sounded horse tonight and how come she always yells her last note? Adam is a great singer but he over sings at times and his performances are a little theatrical like Simon said. Lil Rounds is a little argumentative but I give hers props for being strong and defending herself. It’s as though she can never please the judges. They’re trying to put Lil in a box, as if all she can sing is R&B. While I admire her for singing what she wants, I dislike that she seems to think she can sing anything. Oh and I love Danny, he’s my favorite and Anoop did the best tonight. He seems to have the most down to earth personality.

That was unlistenable!! Pitchy, out-of-tune, with a horrible arrangement, and not a good song for her voice. She needs a bluesy, jazzy, r&b type of song — like she sang in her audition.

Does she get absolutely ZERO coaching on song choice, or how to perform? I think she has a tendency to scream the vocals, and while she didn’t do that tonight, she doesnt have a good enough voice to sing soft tender vocals.

She is getting WORSE with every performance. And it is nearly unthinkable as I listen to her as to how in the world did she wind up one of the final two girls in the competition.

On the positive side, she looked great tonight.

Absolutely horrendous performance. My poor ears! Not a loving act to have to listen to that, again. I agree that she seems to be getting worse with every performance. She has never had a solid performance yet. I never did buy into this ‘potential’ argument with her. From the very beginning, she seemed like all front with nothing much to back it up. IMO, Alexis or Jesse were much more deserving than Lil. No reason at all to feel sorry for her. If anything the judges were way too lenient before and she’s finally getting the critiques she should have received from the very beginning. Either you’ve got it or you don’t, and Lil does not.

Both girls were very off; however, Rounds was a square when it comes to judgement time. She needs to pick better songs. even during Motown week, that ‘Heat Wave’ was A Big Chill. Lil has never been my favorite contestant but when she first auditioned even i had to admit she could really sing but simon is right, she keeps screwing up week after week and its getting irritating. She’s getting angry with the judges when all they are trying to do is help her. Song choice is letting her down everytime and every week we keep giving her another chance to redeem herself and blow us all away and she never does. Lil is an awesome singer, who could have a good recording career in the future, but i dont think that she is meant for the idol stage.

If these contestants, or any others, feel Simon is too hard on them, wait until they get out in the real world and have to audition – they need to get thick skinned and accept criticism without back talking or taking it personally. Lil should have held her temper and not back talked….her anger was not attractive. NO MATTER WHAT WAS SAID TO HER.

I agree with Simon. This contestant has not delivered this season…for whatever reason. She sings without passion or originality. I am very disappointed because I thought she was much better than she has shown us in this competition.

Lil is no compeition to anyone at this time. IF she survives this week, she needs to bring something she hasn’t shown the audience since she made the top 12.

Re: Allison. This child sings with passion each and every time she performs. I am a HUGE Adam fan and feel Allison and Danny are his biggest compeitiors.

interesting song choice from her. it was good in a few parts…and really bad in most parts, sharp, flat…but i dunno..i kinda liked it. emphasis on kinda. i hated the arrangement of the song. she’s long overdue to go home. honestly i just don’t know what they saw in her to even pick her for the top 36. it’s not that her voice is bad, but she tries to do all the wrong things with it. i’m really disappointed in AI this season.
