That was the first time Kris was memorable to me. I kept forgetting him in the lineup. I love that song and what he did with it. I confess, though, that I’m still distracted by his facial expressions. I think I’d rather listen to Kris sing than watch him.

I had never thought Kris would make it that far even though i’m a huge fan. but now i’m beginning to wonder. things may be coming together for him. of course, it’s a long way to go.

except for Kris, there’s not a single one of them that i could care less if they win. i think this is a weak year, i don’t care how much the judges and producers tout the “Greatest Top 10 Ever.” Please. but even with Kris, I wouldn’t stay up late voting for him like i did Archie Boy.

I doubt if Kara meant Studio 54 since that was mainly known for disco music and drug use. Studio 57 was a TV show in the 1950s. Maybe she’ll explain it on the next show.

Hey glaiza and BigFanLittleDavid! There’s definitely something about Kris that reminds me of David and I think part of it is the humbleness, plus there’s just something about him that I really really like. I’m not spending all my free time obsessing about him like I did with David last year nor will I stay up at all hours of the night voting (though I am definitely throwing some votes his way), but I’d really love it for Kris to make it far. I agree that this is a weak year and I very much miss all of the Idols from last year!

haha. but i won’t stress myself out every week for kris (like i did for David. i always got nervous for him last year coz i really wanted him to do well). im just enjoying the show this year.i’m not into voting for kris but i download his songs though.

anyway, great performance again. every week, he’s becoming better and better. i hope the judges would consider him in the top 2. he’s really good. and he has the ability to make songs sound current.

I really love this guy – but I agree with whoever said they have a hard time “watching” him sing. He moves his face in really strange ways and has the tendency to stick his tongue up in the top of his mouth, and it’s just really distracting. DONT GET ME WRONG! I Think he’s great! I’m just saying, maybe that’s something he should work on… Like Archie always licked his lips and it got distracting after a while and he learned to not do that… so I’m hoping Kris learns some things along the way as well!

Wow. Kris is emerging as a real contender in this competition & not with overwhelming but neat, subtle performances that definitely have an audience.

He seems like a nice guy & conveys that in his weekly AI appearances. 1 thing for sure is his knack for choosing the right songs for himself. We know how important that ability is.

if you notice they only predict the order that they are in , next to there names they put a range of what they can be in the only person that is predicted to be safe is danny , he has a 1-6 range , the rest of them can be any where from 1-9, kris is 1-8 so he won’t get voted off. but even some one like lil rounds could be in the bottom 3. dial idol doesn’t really get too close , till the numbers get lower.

Kara was peeing her pants excited…just wish some of the other judges would be a little more flexible – they loved him for sure, but they haven’t given him a “best performance of the night” yet…seems like they’re still stuck on pimping their favorites. Oh well, it was definitely my favorite performance of the season, and I’ll probably add it onto the list of my favorite AI performances ever. loved it! loved every performance of kris’ since top 36. so glad people are starting to notice “tender puppy” i luv u rickey for that. i couldn’t have thought of anything more perfect to call him. this year has been too much attention on the judges and the “save”. (gasp) by this point last season i was in love with some of the personalities and would root for everyone to do well – ‘09, i feel like i don’t know them AT ALL, cuz most of them are so uptight and nervous to say or do the wrong thing. allison is a bright light – she has like no filter and i love it!

WOW WOW WOW!!! I’ve always been a fan of Kris. I really don’t watch American Idol these days cause I’m too busy so I only watch Rickey’s Kris videos. and this one ROCKS!!! Its the BEST.

Admittedly, I find Kris really cute so it’s a pretty big factor on why he’s my fave. But he is really really good. And I always go for the underdogs who seem to be doing well (i.e. Elliott Yamin).

Although Kris is ALWAYS good, he was always somewhere in the middle of the pack because someone else delivers a really good performance. Kind of gets me upset because it indicated that Kris might leave earlier than expected. Kris, like Allison, although one of the most popular contestants on the net (top 3-4 in my estimation) isn’t really that popular on the show in terms of votes and comments from the judges. He’s alway good not fantastic.

That’s why I’m so ECSTATIC that he had a breakthrough performance. and what a performance! I LOVE LOVE LOVED it. Every week, I’ve always had to admit that another contestant was actually better than Kris but this week, no freaking way is anyone better! That was SO GREAT! I have to say that its one of the best moments in Idol. Better than Archie’s Imagine even (which seems, I’m sorry to say this since this obviously a blog filled with Archie fans, overrated). Anyway… back to Kris. It was so original! The vocals were FANTASTIC! not just great or good, FANTASTIC! He really knows how to do those riffs look so easy to sing (they are really really difficult to do though).

The judges DID NOT give him enough credit. They should have said that this was one of the best performances in Idol EVER.

I think the problem with Kris is that he has some difficulty reaching certain notes like falsettos. Falsettos are really tricky. I think he sounds fine but i really do have an untutored ear so I really dont have a right to judge. He does get blasted in some of the forums for some bad notes. Even I could discern some bad notes in his “Remember the Time” but if you have the studio version without the bad notes, it was GREAT! ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!

I actually already notice kris since top 36. there is something about him that is SOOO attractive. [i don't know its his cute face or his way of singing]
then I start to believe that he really got the voice that is not only sounds good but also sound effortless even in a very high notes.
I also love his humbleness and low profile although he is so HOT!!
