Please he did nothing to stand out at all with that song..He did not even come close to making it his own. He is far behind others in this competition.

I know he has a handicap but that does not mean we feel sorry for him either..and keep voting him to stay when their are others far more deserving.

I think he is a class act, very funny and intelligent, and talented as well. I am glad he has this opportunity. However, I would rather hear him sing opera, or popera even, and I love both genres. He has that kind of pure tone voice that, with some additional training, could be really fantastic, I think. I love Il Divo and Josh Groban and, while I would not recommend that contestants dare to sing “You Raise Me Up”, I think I would like to hear Scott sing that song before he goes.

What a turn around! Keeping the momentum could even take Scott to the Top Five, which would rock if he stays this good!

I still don’t believe he will take AI as number one, but after some other performances, this definitely isn’t Bottom 3!

Is it just me, or does the controversial contestant in the Bottom 3 always make a comeback the next week? It seems that way so far!

Love piano men. Love singer-songwriters. Scott is neither. Murdered the song and not in a good way. This was hotel lobby performance. I’m hoping he’s gone sooner rather than later.

And to agree with a prior post… Yes… The bottom 3 contestants who are safe – especially the controversial ones – normally get more votes the next week. What happens is America sees that their favorite might not be “safe” – so then they vote more for their favorite. When the person isn’t a favorite, look for them to go home soon.

At least Scott didn’t do karioke. He said before he started that he stripped the song down a bit and changed it. Of course he had to…there’s only 1 Billy Joel.

Have any of you checked this guy out? He’s graduated from some of the best music schools in the free world. Hes’ won many awards for his classical music. He has more talent than anyone on Idol its just in a different venue.

and hey – anyone else tried downhill skiing with a blindfold?? He’s amazing, I admire his courage and his spirit.

man ive been to karaoke bars lounges whatever and if what anoop is doing is karaoke then sign me up because if i sounded like that doing karaoke then im gonna get signed, and that goes for all of them who get that stupid line it sounds karoake no the hell it doesnt.

This was definitely Scott’s best performance. I think an AI should have many aspects to him/her and Scott is a multi-dimensinoal person. I don’t vote for him because he’s blind. I love the purity of his voice. When he picks the right song, he soars. I agree with the comments above. Scott gradutated college at 19, received a prestigous scholarship in Europe and is a classical pianist/songwriter. (he wrote a song called “No Fear” when he was eight years old, I think.) If there’s anything to say, he’s too classy for a TV show. IMO. Also, imagine trying to sing when you can’t see the audience. Give him a break if he chooses not to stand up and sing like the others, although Mandolin Rain, for me was wonderful, and he stood for that song! Go, Scott!
