Based upon tonight… I’m not so sure. I do like Alexis, but she didn’t seem to have the vocal strength she normally has, tonight.

She could go a long way. I have her picked in one of the pools. Long shot, but 36 points.

I’d like to see her vs Lambert. Most of the others are too predictable. Same old stuff.

And sure enough, they are messing with the votes tomorrow. I wouldn’t be surprised if the judges get to pick two out of the bottom three to go home.

Every time I look at her with her “sexy” or “dirty” or “naughty” (or insert similar word of your choice) new look, I can’t help but see the cliche little girl rooting around in an old trunk in the attic, coming up with a kooky ensemble and smearing red lipstick across her mouth in a gross approximation of glamour.

Sorry, I’m not buying it. She is pretty, though.

This contestant is the ABSOLUTELY LAST singer that I would have imagined tackling this great MJ rock/pop classic.

Obviously, there was some disappointment, to say the least.

Adam OR Alexis OR Danny OR Lil Rounds OR SOMEbody else, possesing the vocal depth & strength to belt out that tune, but, oh well…

I really have much greater respect for Michael Jackson’s singing talent & skill these days, as he was not recognized as a power singer but the arrangement for Dirty Diana was brilliantly constructed around his strengths. He was/is a fine singer/performer/entertainer & this song is a definite fave of mine.

I don’t like the whole thing they are trying to get her to do each week. The “I’m sexy now” if that makes sense. She is very pretty. I love the look and I like her singing its as good as any basic pop star from what we’ve seen. Is this really her though?

feel bad for her. being the last person to sing, people expect her to WOW the crowd but didn’t. to make it even worst, she didnt get a lot of comments from the judges because of time constraints. last person, less exposure and less discussed .. that’s always a bad thing. but im sure she’ll be safe but not for long.

The only females in the Top 13 worthy of “finals” potential are … oh wait, other than Megan’s looks they didn’t even make the Top 13.

Obviously I am speaking of Langseth, Barton, McNamara and even Henson (in that order) who were all sent packing. All of which are better than at least Desai, Nunez and Murray.

i really like her, and i love her voice, but i hated the song, i hated the arrangement, i didn’t think it fit her, and i really didn’t care for her vocals either…she sang it well, hit all the notes well enough, but she kept hitting the same notes with her “no no’s” and “let me be’s” and didn’t really deviate or embellish with runs or at least different notes. she could have done a lot more with it.

This is probably my favorite MJ song, so I was hoping for something a little more… I dunno… in tune? FWIW, the verses were pretty good, it’s only when she got into the choruses that she started screaming with reckless abandon. It was also distracting to watch her shuffle across the stage in what looked to be painful feels.

I know that she’s supposed to be “sexy” now, but I think this song is meant to be sung gritty and husky, not awkward and shrieky. This year, it seems like the only one that could do it justice is Allison.

This was one out of 4 performances that I really liked.

Regarding your poll about the judges I liked the new twist but I hope that Ryan keeps him mouth shut and doesn’t call anyone a DIVA.

I really hated that from Fantasia & Jennifer Hudson’s season. I didn’t like their voices to begin with (the exception of 1-2 songs)but to hear them be constantly referred to AS Diva’s when there was nothing to back it up. Gah!

This song was amazing, had great vocals. I dare any of you to try this song, she was amazing with this song.
This girl can sing, and if she doesn’t win American Idol, we’ll be seeing her elsewhere anyway because she has talent. And whoever said “She’s like a little girl trying to be grown up”… HELLO.. She is a single MOTHER and she is older than most of the contestants. She’s amazing.
