Scott MacIntyre makes it to the Top 36 of American Idol 8

Scott is the first person with a disability — he is legally blind — that has made it to this stage in the competition. He’s now a sentimental favorite. We will see him on the Summer Tour for sure. Surely America can’t vote out a blind man and crush his dreams can they? And how will he do with choreography?

Definite sentimental favorite. He did sound better with his “instrument.” We will see how he does…

I have listened to some of Scott’s pre-idol music and it is very good. I hope that he can shake off the nerves that obviously showed in Hollywood and show the side of him that I know is there. Also, let me say that speaking as someone who is physically disabled, I am really hoping they don’t take advantage of the situation and play the sympathy vote. I’m way too old to try out for AI but if I wasn’t, I would hope that my situation wouldn’t turn into a circus. I really hope the best for Scott in his journey.

This might sound bad, nut I don’t like him.

I know they only put him through because of his disability.

I don’t think he has a chance of winning though, and he is okay. Unlike Norman Gentle.
