Adam Lambert was in a cast of “Wicked”. I really like him. Adam got the full Coldplay background music treatment which can only mean two things: guaranteed Top 36 and a highly likely Top 12.

See, now, THIS guy is the only one so far with true star quality. He is just loaded with Charisma. Only David Cook had the same magnetic appeal for me early on last season.

On the other hand, he may be too B’way to be a relevant force on the music scene.

VERY great voice. His voice is very broadway musical, but from the sounds of him, he could def crank out the rocker side.

I loved Adam! He was so adorable and his voice was great! I love that he was in Wicked, that’s such a great show. I am excited to see more of him. That’s probably true about the Coldplay songs, Rickey. I didn’t make that connection before. Good call.

I agree – he is FASCINATINLY CHARISMATIC
if nothing else. I can’t wait to see him go on and do different songs. Now sure if he has
the pipes?? He actually reminds me of
Rob Lowe! go figure. Just brush his hair
back a tad, lose the emo clothes and yep-
I will have my eye on this one.

He’s cute, has a good voice and was definitely the most comfortable in front of the judges. But to me he kinda sounded like a girl. I’m hoping he sings something totally different in Hollywood so we can see his range.

We’ll he’s gay so maybe that’s why he sounds kinda feminine. He reminds me so much of Danny but he’s the repressed kind, holding something back unlike the former whose all out, fierce.

I think we have one of the main reasons we are hearing that the guys are strong again this year. Simon is going to make that “theatrical” comment to just about anyone who has talent and has previously performed on stage.

chessguy99, he IS theatrical. Simon doesn’t just pull stuff like that out of his butt.

I’m not a huge fan of Adam’s voice. It sort of reminds me of Kat McPhee’s voice … getting all thin and shrill in the upper register. Nonetheless, he’s talented and totally hot, and he’s gonna be a lot of fun to watch.

And THANK THE LORD he’s gay because I’m not in the mood for an Idol crush this year.

I have listened to this so many times – to me , it was just a brilliant audition, the perfect vehicle to show his amazing chops !

That song is SO hard to sing – very few could pull that off .

Definitely in the top 12 and hopefully top 3 .
