National Fisheries Institute Response to Jeremy Piven’s Sushi-Defense

Jeremy Piven and his doctor say that his mercury levels were “6 times” the average person’s mercury levels — which prompted him to leave the Broadway play “Speed The Plow” abruptly last month. As I understand from this video, you need to exceed the average by 1,000% to be considered “poisoned” by mercury, so “6 times” is nothing. Hahaha. What an idiot. He also said that the only protein he got for 20 years was from fish. If he had eaten 6 ounces of fish everyday for his entire life, he would still have eaten less than the average person in Japan who consume 154 pounds of fish a year on average. There has been no public health emergency for eating lots of fish in Japan.

So unprofessional. What Jeremy Piven needs is more iodine to improve his intelligence.
