Yay!

Just some more insight: I just love how every year when these numbers come out, all the doomsayers start declaring the end of American Idol for whatever personal reason. Broadcast TV viewing across the board has been down, and these lower numbers compared to previous years reflect the viewing habits of Americans in general and not because American Idol is faltering. More and more people are using their DVRs and getting their Idol-fix on the Internet. I believe this show is still as popular as ever.

    I agree, Rickey. I think Idol is about as popular as it is every year. It will probably be one of those shows like “The Real World” or “Survivor” that just never ends. Yay!

    Totally agree Rickey. Whenever AI gets less views (even though it kills all other shows in the time slot)…. the naysayers all just have a field day exclaiming how Ai is going to end, how it’s not popular, blahblahblah… never taking in to account everything you described.
    People watching on the net, or recording it for later viewing, or just overall viewing for everything going down.
    Right on Rickey! You just gave me another reason to adore you :D lol

    rickey i think Kyo was just appealing to the Filipino side of you heeheeee…. will have to see if Jenesis made it to Hollywood, according to rumor blogs she passed. wait and see.. wait and see… for what its worth i listened to her myspace music and its pretty good :)
