Wow, the politics are so intense now. Janelle nominated Erica and Mike Boogie, in her attempt to get rid of one of the 5 floaters and appease James. S6 needs to win the next HOH or the dominoes will start falling. It’s all very exciting as to who wins the Power of Veto. Nevertheless, it looks like Erica will be eliminated (or whoever replaces her if she gets Power of Veto) and Mike Boogie will be safe. Does Erica have an alliance with Kaysar? Perhaps Mike Boogie will be eliminated if the house really does hate Chill Town. Thursday will be so exciting. That is the most important HOH yet, and everyone knows it.

Many years later, still loving Tevin Campbell. Isn’t he great? He has a couple of albums.

Just got back from watching Hairspray (with the Filipino Librarian) where Tevin plays Seaweed J. Stubbs. I loved him/the show! Since I had no idea what Hairspray was about, I was pleasantly surprised to find out what Hairspray was all about. Go go Hairspray! Highly recommended — although admittedly, I’m more used to the traditional Broadway musical with self-glorifying solos while suspended above the stage on a broomstick.

Thanks to the newfound skills I learned from Von regarding getting cheap Broadway tickets — lotteries are cool! — I think I’m going to make this a project! I’ve decided that I’m not going to line up for the lottery everyday since they might suspect I’m a stalker. So maybe just once a week — so I’m not too obvious, but obvious enough. Hahaha. rickey.org is going to have Hairspray updates! Hey, I live in New York, why not. I’m so excited.

Tomorrow (gasp), Von and I are going to attempt a double-header for both Avenue Q and Spelling Bee – I hope we win the lottery!

As predicted, Katharine McPhee made it to the chance of a lifetime pictorial with the President of the United States. Hopefully we can all put this behind us. She is after all here for the pleasure of the fans not the other way around. So now she’s finally on the tour, and the McPheevers can all rejoice.

Elliott Yamin is not in this picture because he was 40 minutes late! Haha. Poor thing. I hope he got to meet the President at least. According to Ace Young in this article, “He was sleeping!” LOL. We love Elliott! Sleep is our favorite pastime. Sleep has gotten me into trouble many times but I love it anyway. I am sure there are many in this country who would rather sleep than meet this President.

The Idol boards are reporting that Katharine McPhee missed the concert in Pittsburgh this evening because her plane was either delayed or cancelled from New York City.

To her fans, I’m sorry, McPheever just can’t get a break. Will she also miss the White House photoshoot tomorrow morning? Probably not. Can’t miss that photo op.

One final note, and I’ll stop bitching: If there’s a will, there’s a way. Cutting it so close with a 5:40 flight for a concert that starts at 7, hmmm. The PR people will have to somehow write an explanation for that as well for tomorrow’s press release. Thankfully, Kat fans are very forgiving.

Happiness is buying buffalo burgers at Trader Joe’s with Col. Sanders posing behind you. Spent the evening with The Filipino Librarian, and it was a lot of fun! I’ve not had that good a laugh in a while. Of course Von and I were talking about grade school, high school and college stuff, and the way things just go full circle really cracked me up. I love my life. Despite some bad breaks here and there, the writing can’t get any better. Thanks to everyone who’s willing to be a part of it.
