Here’s the video of Taylor Hicks single “What’s Right is Right” on Yahoo!
This should have been on his first album. I think Taylor Hicks still has enough fans to make his next album a success.

Taylor continues ‘Grease’ role in national rollout (USA Today)
Taylor must have enjoyed his Broadway run as Teen Angel in Grease, for he will reprise the role on the musical’s national tour, beginning Dec. 2 in Providence. It runs through May 30.
Says Taylor in the press release, “I had such a great experience on Broadway for the last three months,” says Hicks. “This is such a great opportunity to visit old fans and new fans across the country while bringing them a great Broadway show!”
Wow. Until May! Will he do any gigs in between shows?

I think somewhere — somehow — someone just died upon seeing these four American Idol heartthrobs together. For that I am sorry. But I just need to ask the question: Who activates your female hormone the most? Or if that’s a bit too much, who inspires the most fanatic fan?
Let’s see if the upstart Arch Angels can withstand the might of the Claymates and the Soul Patrol. And as a matter of pride, maybe the Fanjayas can have a decent showing.
Go!
Update: There have been attempts by a Soul Patroler and a Claymate to hijack this poll. Currently the Claymate hack is still on, so the Clay Aiken votes will be fluctuating throughout the life of this poll as I invalidate the votes. I can tolerate a couple of multiple voting but not in the hundreds and thousands from one person. Just tell your friends to vote. No need to do all the voting by yourself or your automated web browser. Thanks.
From Taylor Hicks MySpace (via MJ):
A statement from Taylor: To all my fans and The Soul Patrol, I want to take a moment to talk about the recent news that my label and I have mutually parted ways. The important thing for all of you to remember is that I’ve been a working musician my whole life. This is turning the page on a new chapter of my career. Artistic freedom and control is an exciting prospect. The things that are most important to me is creating my art, performing it, and my fans. With the momentum that all of you have created over the years, Taylor Hicks is not going to stop anytime soon. I’ve started working on the new album, writing and scheduling exciting collaborations. The DVD, Whomp at the Warfield, is in it’s final stages, and will be released soon. So as one door closes, a new one opens for 2008 with more excitement for all my fans than ever before. Sit tight, because the best is yet to come!
Why do I get a feeling that Taylor Hicks squandered this great opportunity that is American Idol? Is there still goodwill left in the industry for him?

This is a bit late, but wasn’t really in a rush. Here’s an ultra-rare rickey.org post for American Idol winner Taylor Hicks performing “Heaven Knows”, “Taking It To The Streets” and “Do I Make You Proud” on Asian Idol. OMG, they sang “Do I Make You Proud?” How sad.
Consider this one of the many peace offerings I’ve made to the Soul Patrol (if they still care).
(Thanks Nathania!)

Another American idol winner pens a memoir.
Are these memoirs part of the American Idol contract? Why??? What’s up with the memoirs.
What will Jordin Sparks write about? She’s only 17! Seventeen! A memoir! Jordin Sparks is seventeen! (LOL)
Taylor Hicks — Heart Full of Soul

A peace offering for the Soul Patrol. Here’s Taylor Hicks on Leno last night. (It was in the recorder, it was easy to upload).

Fortunately or unfortunately for McPheever fans — it all depends on which state of mind you are in — Rickey will have to talk about McPheever whether you like it or not. LOL.
