50 Cent developing animated series for FOX

Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson is looking to expand past the rap game and into the animation business. FOX is in negotiations with Jackson for an animated comedy, alongside feature producer Randall Emmett, Imagine TV and 20th Century Fox TV. The untitled project will be loosely based on Jackson’s own childhood though, hopefully, it doesn’t involve a cartoon version of himself getting shot nine times or having his jaw wired shut. The series is expected to receive a pilot, or at least a presentation, order. Written by Carl Jones, it follows the mischievous but well-meaning boy and his eccentric family and neighborhood. Jackson will executive produce alongside his producing partner Andrew Jameson, Jones, Emmett and Imagine TV’s Brian Grazer and Francie Calfo.
